Philly Cheese on the Trail!

Let me show you how I make the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich at camp! Two options, the popular steak and the non meat eater version made with cremini mushrooms! Definitely one of my favorites! The caramelized onion with jalapeños and those cheeses melting on top of the meat and mushrooms. Oh wee! So tasty! #itssupereasytomake

It looks like you’re the designated cook when you guys go out so I know there’s got to be a bunch of ingredients and cookware crammed in that Jeep. Awesome! I grew up about an hour and a half out side of Philly. Our local pizza shops made cheese steaks, but it wasn't until I was in Florida and had a "Philly" cheese steak that I learned the difference between our cheese steaks and a Philly Cheese steak. Ours always have marinara or pizza sauce while as you made your's, Philly cheese steaks don't. In Philly they refer to my favorite cheese steak, as a Pizza Steak. Some may call it an Italian Steak Sandwich. I've come to love mine with mushrooms, sauce and onions, but no peppers. Yours looks great on the chibata bread. Cook on brother. obsessed with this overland kitchen load out. I've spent a few agonizing nights debating in my head which item to get first; the Flatpit or the Scottle. I just pulled the trigger on the Flatpit for the utility of having it double for a quick and collapsible fire pit as well as grill. Once I master that, i'll move on to the Scottle.
