Hey brother, love the vids! I've used a hair straightener on the body curve sides. Works pretty well and focus' more heat where you want it and not where you dont. Keep it up!

using a center punch after you marked the location of your holes will help you from missing your Mark as you drill. It does not need to be much just enough so that the drill bit can locate the place you want to mark also using a smaller drill first helps to make sure you don't bugger up the hole as you are drilling.

What temp does the kydex need to reach before it is pliable?? Can body heat and wearing them when its extremely hot deform them?? Great vids bro!

What is the best point to use for retention on the mag carriers, guns are easy with the trigger guard... but the mag carriers seem to just need sheer tightness all around.
@nathanstotts851910 жыл бұрын
PhillyEDC do you use a special bit for drilling the holes?
@turkeycreekknives1335 жыл бұрын
Drill bit is a bradpoint drill bit don’t lets these supply guys tell you it’s custom made for kydex just charging you more HD or Lowe’s carry

@12345NoNamesLeft Gotcha. They're just referred to in the catalog as a rivet and if someone wanted to order from the same source as me, they'd never find any "eyelets."

@SentryGunleather Lol! They're all over my house. I find those sumbitches EVERYWHERE!

Have you ever tried using a chamfer tool (for reloading brass) to remove the bits of kydex from your drilled holes? I am wondering if it might be a better tool than a knife.
@cliffcares64557 жыл бұрын
Have you tried to drill out a bad rivet instead of just crushing it?
@PHLster7 жыл бұрын
Cliff Cares If the drill bit causes the rivet to spin, the rivet can bore through the plastic. If you drill really slowly, you can maybe avoid this, but it's faster and easier to just crush down the unfinished side and push it out.

The only problem with these mag holders is they're about 3 times as wide as the magazine, which seems like a lot of wasted space.
@12345NoNamesLeft13 жыл бұрын
What you're calling an "open rivet" is an eyelet.
@CQBSLITHERS12 жыл бұрын
the kydex itself is expensive
@5150madawg10 жыл бұрын
thats a horrible way to remove the eyelet way easier to drill it out !! imo
