PHILMONT 2021 | ELKHORN | TREKKING DAY THREE

Welcome to Trekking Day 3! Today we hiked ~3 miles from Santa Claus Camp to Elkhorn Trail Camp, where we practiced crew skills, had lunch and breakfast, hiked up to the ridge for sunset, and had a relaxing day to prepare for the hiking ahead!
Philmont is a BSA High Adventure Camp that my scout troop traveled too over summer this year. Our trip consisted of 2.5 travel days each way, 1 day at base camp, 12 days of trekking, all in New Mexico state and featuring some of the most beautiful hiking trails in the U.S. Here are the videos I filmed along the way, from the bad to the great, about the whole experience.
