I have a huge Lynamii and a huge Pink Glory. They are both crawlers. I first heard about Lynmaii on Etsy. I was on a huge philodendron kick when I found it. I paid over $100 for it. I think they are both such an underrated house plant. I'm so happy to see you making a video about it. ❤🌿

Wow, you’ve got a massive Lynamii and Pink Glory? 😍 That’s amazing! Totally agree with you-Lynamii is so underrated. I think we need more love for these crawlers! Thanks so much for watching and sharing your story! ❤🌿

Growing plants horizonatally has peaked my interest recently! I’ve drilled holes in many odd vessels such as ice cube holders from my old freezer that I guess I hoarded for this particular reason? 🤗 Thanks for the lovely leaf p*rn

Yes! 🙌 Let's goooo! I love your excitement, and growing plants horizontally sounds like such a cool experiment! 🌿 Can’t wait to see what you do with those ice cube holders! 🤗

mine always start with very red colors before turning green :) I love this plant

That’s so cool! 🌿 The red-to-green transition is one of my favorite things about Lynamii. It’s like watching the plant tell a story with its colors! 🌱❤️

I had a reversed experience with my Philodendron Mamei(not silvercloud). I kept it crawling and it was doing well, but one day it did a 180 and grew vertical up in the air. I was so shocked, but surrendered to its wish of climbing that it is now happily rooted into a pole. Just don't go against nature and eventually everything will work out just fine😅

Thank you for sharing your story! 🌿 That's such a fascinating turn of events-plants really do their own thing sometimes, huh? 😂 I love how you just let it climb and do its thing. Totally agree, nature always finds its way! 😅

I first heard about this plant from Kaylee Ellen’s channel too. I thought it was a McDowell at first 😀🇨🇦
@HouseplantygoodnessАй бұрын
Same here! Kaylee Ellen’s channel is such a good place to discover rare plants. I’ve totally confused McDowell and Lynamii before too, its the leaf patterning I think. 😀 Thanks for sharing, Linda! 🌿

Great video Memo! 💛 I love the way you present things. The world of plants is so variable, like all living beings in the end. For example, people say that my Zebrina (Goeppertia) doesn't want too much sun, she hates it, one of the calathea that wants the least light... while at home I had to put a grow light on it because it was on the full side to have the most light possible and it's in the one that wants it the most. Sometimes the same recipe for two plants in exactly the same environment will not work for both and we will never really know the reason, it's simply nature, it's never a copy and paste! I love this t-shirt ahah! 🙃🇨🇦 Edit : A pink plant.. I find this exagerate 😅 more like brownburgundy more than pink. You want a pink plant took a real pink plant like Stromanthe triostar, Hoya Australis (an other Hoya), Fittonia, Tradescantia, Hypestes, and many other.
@HouseplantygoodnessАй бұрын
Thank you so much, Kate! 💛 You’re so right-plants are unpredictable! Your Zebrina is living proof that they all have their own personalities. 🌱 And yes, not every plant ends up looking as pink as promised! 😂 Totally agree on the Stromanthe Triostar, though! 🌸

'...in my previous review, I think I've done one..' Flash News: No I haven't 😂 Thank you for letting me feel better knowing I'm not alone lol. Our brain cells seem to be shrinking as those pretty leaves get bigger and bigger. 😜 My favourite Philos are all crawlers. I wish it was different, space you know, but I just love them.

Both lynamii and Pink Glory are the easiest things to grow at all, did not skipped a beat after moving from grow tent to ambient conditions, had no issues at all on the south facing window during this years heat waves (I had to remove several other plants from the shaded window for the hot days). Lynamii was quite hard to get 2-3 years ago, but I found them at the Ecuagenera Nursery for a good price, so I picked it up because it was so expensive on other shops. Its 100% crawler, not the fastest one to grow (perhaps it slows down when it gets more mature?), but thats a good thing because the leaves will grow huge. My Pink Glory decided to climb on its own btw.

Well I hadn’t heard of this philodendron before and I love the shape of the leaves but not in love with crawlers
@HouseplantygoodnessАй бұрын
The leaf shape is stunning, right?! 🌱 I get it though, crawlers aren’t for everyone. Maybe one day you’ll find one that steals your heart! 😉 Thanks for watching, Claire! 🌿

Don't climbers have nodes on stems? My crawler Gloriosum does not.
@HouseplantygoodnessАй бұрын
Good question, Joseph! Climbers usually do have nodes, but crawlers like Gloriosum are a bit different! 😊 Thanks for pointing that out-it’s always fun digging into plant quirks! 🌿

I think I heard about this one the first time from Enid´s book. Good to know you have good experience with Soil Ninja´s mix for climbers - when I finally get a climber, I´ll grow it in it too 🙂I like the look of climbers very much, but the space it demads is hard to find

Oh, Enid’s book is such a great resource! 📚 Soil Ninja’s mix has been a lifesaver for my climbers too. Glad to hear you’ll try it when you get one! Totally agree on the space issue though-climbers love to spread! 😂🌿
