@@gentleeyes Guess it's a good thing he didn't say that, then. The American Civil War was the first time that combat was photographed and was by far the most extensively photographed war of the 19th century, surpassing even later wars. The war photography of the Civil War laid the groundwork for the war photography of the 20th century. But hey, at least you were right about that whole "being confident doesn't mean correct" bit.

The Mexican-American War (American invasion of Mexico) was actually photographed as well in 1847, so both were before the US Civil War. Either way, Klaas was wrong, but because he says it with such confidence, people here believe it.

Where did this Klaas family come from? In the Netherlands, Klaas is Nicolas. Every Nick would be called Nico or Klaas, here. Why is he not Brian Nick? Is there a Dutch or Southafrican connection? German, maybe?

He was the least interesting expert she interviewed. He seemed annoyed and didn't seem to understand the humor. Also, he was wrong about the first photographed war. There were at least two instances before the US Civil War.

I love British comedy but this isn’t at all funny. The only thing she does is play stupid. And the interviewees only go along with the stupidity because of the cameras. She’s wasting everyone’s time with these incredibly unfunny stunts.
