One could accuse Plato the author of writing very vivid characters within the dialogues, and show that their arguments at the mall (agora) and at the gym showed bodily , socially and politically embedded people committed to their points of view. It is from these dialogues that identification and clarification of the Good comes from, and (metaphorically) sets a North star at the zenith that tantalizes those who believe in investigation of possible perfection.
