I am adopted and one of the best days of my life was when I got to meet my bio dad for the first time. I was 30 years old. There is nothing like blood relation. I felt like I had always known him. All the missing links of my personality came together. I had met my bio mom one year earlier and she and I share athletic ability, blond hair and a soft spoken voice. He and I have a deep thinking melancholy perfectionistic personality, we collect writing instruments and do calligraphy and neither of us wake up very well before 9am. We had a lot of laughs discovering all that. The best part is that I was able to give him my personal bible and 11 years later at his funeral I was able to hear that he had received Jesus! Blessings to all of you for sharing your precious story!

As a mom of twin adopted boys I am both so happy for you and yet feel very sad. When you said there’s nothing like blood relations, it hurt my heart, for your adoptive parents. Although I don’t know your situation and don’t want to compare it to mine. Just please if possible give your adoptive parents a hug.
@davidandshera7444 жыл бұрын
@@MommaRose956 I’m sorry if my story made you sad. Hopefully I can encourage you by saying you are the best gift to your boys as my adoptive mom and dad were to me. My adoptive my was my best friend ( she died of lung cancer before I met my bio dad). They always told me I was adopted and said it was doubly special because they really wanted me. One day when I was about 28 my adoptive mom initiated and said “we should pray to find your bio mom” so we did. Soon after that the court found some identifying info for me (mine was a closed adoption). I wrote a letter to my bio mom with my phone # and she called and said she wanted to meet me. After we met then a few months later she met my adoptive mom and I have a photo of them together. A year later my adoptive mom died from cancer...it’s like she knew. Then I met my bio dad after that (longer story). Anyway I share all that with you because what I wrote about blood is true but also what I didn’t write is that my adoptive mom will always remain the most important person in my life! You are the best gift to your boys!

It's so cool how God continues to teach using this family. This story about his new found daughter from 45 years ago is a visual representation, in flesh, of how even the patriarch of this God fearing family has had a dark past. God turned his sin into a blessing and a teaching tool to show millions of people that this will not tare their family apart, they will not be divided or bitter, they will welcome her into their lives and continue to be happy happy happy as long as they have Jesus in their lives. I honestly feel that it was not a problem for her. When she forgave Phil, she forgave ALL of him. That included things she didnt know about...yet. She knew that it was a possibility. When this was revealed, she was tested. She could have gone ballistic or remain humble. She chose to be humble. When we forgive someone. We have to do it fully, or God isnt going to forgive us fully. He knows the heart at that moment. So, God allowed things to happen, in order to test her. She mentioned that she knew that someone would come from his past. When she read the letter, she said it was true. God didnt only give Phil a daughter. He gave Kay a daughter as well, thru another mother. (fri02oct2020)

I cried like a baby when Phil recited Romans 8:28, both times I listened to this broadcast. Please don't call your audience Philistines, it puts a barrier between you and us, and as you can see in all these comments, we are all the same, we have very similar experiences with sin and with grace. Calling your audience Unashamed Nation implies that we are all accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6) and all part of God's one family in Christ. It incorporates the American idea of being one nation under God, and it reminds us that we have been set free from sin, shame, guilt, and death. Yahoo! That's really good news!

I made a MEANINGFUL repentance, and my life completely changed when I invited Jesus back into my life out loud and in front of my church family. I was born into a similar situation & didn't get to know my brothers until the last 3 years of their lives. I got to spend time with them, one more than the other who came to see me like 3x a week but then sadly I lost both of my brothers, 2yrs or so apart but I'm glad that I got to know them & it's important for Phillis' wellbeing to be welcomed because for A VERY LONG TIME I wasn't & I missed out on SO much!!! It warms my heart that her experience is better than mine!!

Look in the concordance of your Bible for the word compassion and see how many times Jesus is mentioned having compassion. A true eye opener. Blessings to you, and may God grant you serenity and comfort should something happen that you need it.

Hi Robertson Family,... what about “CHRIST’S Army?” When you spoke of your daughter/sister reminded me of what Mother Mary Angelica use to say on her on her tv show. “Every sinner has a future, and every saint has a past. We’re all called to holiness. Don’t miss the opportunity.” I also love the forgiveness that y’all give and receive freely to each other. So very CHRIST!! GOD bless!❤️🙏🏼✝️🙏🏼❤️

I appreciate the text from 1 jn to support how Believers are not afraid to talk about their past because We have come into the light and Jesus Blood washes away all our sin. I also appreciate Phil's quote of rms.8:28, how God turns all things- even our sin for our good and his glory. God is great and brings all things to light in His time.

I was told about my "dad situation" when I was 7 years-old. I reached out and met my biological father when I was 21. He has two kids that I later contacted but nothing has really developed so far. I am still a secret from the extended family 15 years later. I've allowed this to consume my thoughts at times, and it has been a deep source of sadness for me, but the truth is that my Heavenly Father is happy to acknowledge me and He is more than enough to satisfy me. And my brother Jesus isn't ashamed of me. My new identity comes from God and He makes all things work out to my good. But yeah, I may have shed a tear or two watching this.

He also wrote to his paternal grandparents. He was swiftly BLOCKED on every platform. His cell phone was blocked. UNBELIEVABLE. who would do that to a person?!?!??? 😭💔 He reached out when he was 18. He's 19 now. Also when I used 23&me, I discovereId have a 1st vision I want aware of- which means either my mother or father had a sibling they didn't know about, or a sibling gave a baby up &didn't tell anyone.. By the grace of God, I also found my birth father using DNA. Like Phyllis I too knew I was different from my other siblings and after my wonderful husband bought me a 23 & Me DNA test for Valentines Day 2018, I finally connected the dots (with the help of a DNA matched 1st cousin) and found my dad Jimmy in August 2018 but confirmed with Ancestry DNA in November 2019. We officially met Thanksgiving Day 2019. God gave us 3 wonderful and amazing months before he needed him home in heaven. I lost my dad to Cancer in Feb 2019. To Phyllis and Phil....I hope you both cherish your new time together and I'm so happy for you both.
