I have to let you know that yesterday Easter Sunday I was finally baptized. The reason I'm telling you is that this entire Journey started with you guys. Believe it or not I was sick at home with the shingles nevertheless on my face and head. I was looking through the on-demand programs and saw Duck Dynasty. Believe it or not I had never seen an episode of it and this was in 2000. Over the course of a week I watched every single episode. In search for more I turned to KZbin and discovered unashamed. After watching you guys for about a month or two I decided to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I contacted a local church and started attending Services as well as studying with one of the pastors. I guess last night was the culmination of it all. I just want to thank you for helping to open my eyes and exposing me to the gospel. Your brother in Christ Eric

I love just hearing the Word and the many applications to our lives. The practical common sense thinking of Phil, Jase and Al is wisdom from the Creator of all, so many intellectual people lack it and peace eludes them for not putting God above all. Thank you

I recently had a major health issue. My church family gathered around me and prayed for me, It was a life changing event. The only way I can describe it is, being lifted up into the direct gaze of God. I went to the operating table at peace with whatever happened.

Hey first time responder here and this comment is for Jase. I too am often ask why bad things happen to good people and I have to respond with; “that has only happen one time for there is none good only Christ is Good”. We are called to suffer in this world.

Speaking of people praying. A few years ago I was listening to the police scanner for Hattiesburg (I’m in Texas). There was a tornado heading straight for them. I was in my backyard and heard my neighbor shooting hoops with his daughter in their drive. I got his attention and told him to pray for them (told him why). He said ok, then went straight over and immediately started playing basketball again laughing and having a good time. That was a BIG moment that woke me up about just how (not) serious people take that. I meant right then and now, even with his daughter, and myself, and he didn’t think of it for another second. In the Bible when the group started praying for Peter to get out of jail, they didn’t stop until he walked in. Even they were surprised when he actually, walked in. The reason people don’t get answers to their prayers is because they don’t take it serious. If they don’t take it serious, then why should God? Every since that day, I ask very few people to help me pray, or pray for me. I talk to the Lord myself because I know He hears, and knows I’m sincere. We should have a prayer chain that is nonstop 24/7 to pray for people, but most people wouldn’t. If they don’t get an answer, or miracle, within seconds, they are done. Those are the same ones that then blame God for not being there for them. Sad.

Yes and I believe that’s why USA is falling apart. No one takes God and prayer seriously. Praying should be our first priority like when USA was founded all night prayer meeting. Pray without ceasing

I feel grateful to have grown up in a Christian family. While my family is not perfect, they all had good, faithful hearts. For example, my grandpa was an amazing grandfather to us granddaughters, he was the male role model I had in my life. But he was not a good dad to his daughters. When my mom and aunts were growing up my grandpa was an angry, gruff, functioning alcoholic. During those years he was not a good husband or father. But he turned his life around and gave his life to Jesus. From there he rebuilt his marriage and his relationship with his children. Thus allowing him to be an amazing grandpa to me and my cousins as well. As the Robertson's often mention, its so important to know that no matter what your past life has looked like, you can always change and give your life to God

There was a man who was walking across the parking lot of Publix shopping center in Birmingham Al. I was unloading the groceries my mother and I had bought. Then I heard this man yell you could sit-in for Uncle Si. My hair was in a ponytail and my beard was starting to get there, I yelled back I don't want to take Si's job. He then said man I was giving a compliment and then he went into Publix. I got in the car and went back home. That was just something that happened to me. I got to thinking, maybe that happened for a reason. Maybe Uncle Si could teach me how to make reeds. I live alone now after my mom passed away back in July of 2020. Your podcast makes me feel like I've been blessed to hear your thoughts and explaining God's word. I do read God's word everyday, and being part of just hearing you is a blessing. Prayer ultimately is giving God praise. Yes, you can ask for personal things, but you have salvation from death. This life isn't forever. What comes after is forever. How you live in this life will determine what happens next. This life isn't valued by God the same as me and you. We came from Heaven and hope to return there when we leave this world. Place more importance on your spiritual life than your physical life. That's the way to eternal life with Christ.
