Jase Robertson and my wife led me to Christ. I was a "good person" as defined by my own moral code but without the authority of Christ, I fell into sin. I was an ER nurse and flight paramedic. I thought I was doing good works and didn't need an "invisible man" in the sky to guide my life. But then, after a brief hospitalization I fell into the sin of addiction. I never let anyone know but when I couldn't find a way out I turned to Christ and I will never forget that day. My wife has always been a Christian and had been praying for my soul ever since we met. I thought it was "cute" but foolish. But then, when I had nowhere to turn, I happened upon a KZbin video while watching duck hunting videos. It was Jase Robertson preaching at a church in Indiana and he said these words, "God is Love". I was alone, trapped, and knew I would lose my kids and wife if I let my addiction grow but at the same time, I felt that I had no way out. I began to cry as I fell to my knees and prayed. Something overwhelmed my soul. I am not an emotional person and I was certainly not a man that cried but that day, I found Jesus. In that moment I found the strength to confess my sins to God. Then to my wife and my employer. My boss is a Christian and in my moment of confession my family, employer, and church rallied around me and I got the help I needed. It wasn't easy but it was divine and my life has been much more fulfilling ever since. It has now been a year. I am back to working in the ER and I attend Bible study and church with an open heart. Life still has struggles but now I recognize the authority over my life and I lead my family with the Word in my heart. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you because Christ used you guys in ways you don't know to change my life. Matthew Whitt

I never thought Bible study could be so interesting. After about 40 years of just going part time (rare time) to church. And not really reading the Bible since the 4th grade (the last year I was in a catholic school). And also struggling with the use of profanity. I found y'all's podcasts on KZbin. I'm finding myself in a more peaceful place and more rarely loosing my temper at mundane things like before. I use to get made and cuss up a storm at a wrench and sometimes I would even throw it just because I dropped it on the floor. I now I realize I'm the one dropping it. And that wrench never did anything to me. In fact I was doing things to it, like throwing it. My anger and stress was off the charts. But listening to y'all has helped me tremendously to find the Lord our God. To help me to deal with loosing my business as an independent contractor/truck driver in January and going from a $70,000/year income to minimum wage in 1 month. And now that minimum wage job is part time do to the virus. Yes, I'm still 5 months behind and counting on 4 bills including the house payment. All but the credit card matures in about a year. But I quit stressing on it. They call and I just tell the truth. Like today I told the one that called "I got paid yesterday and today I got $36 to last for 2 weeks and I only worked 6.5 hrs last week". But I have no bills other then the ones I'm behind on due in that time. And the freezer is full. And the job comes with a van full of gas. So I don't have to buy gas to get to work. So I'm good. God is helping me. Through you. Phil talked about a listener that had an issue that he wanted to stop cussing. That was not me but it sounds just like me. He said just ask the lord to help and truly mean it. And I asked him for help to get out of that bad habit of using profanity and being angry most of the time. And it has decided by I would guess 93% in just 3 week after over 3 decades of 4 letter words and using the Lord's name in vane. Over 1/2 the time without realizing it. I still catch myself. But that is a vast improvement in such short time. With the Lord's help in another 3 weeks it will be no more. I want to thank the whole Robertson family for showing me the way. Thank God for y'all. I can't stop watching!

We all have sinned and fall short, but we are offered an awesome life if we just except Jesus and that is exactly what you did!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful daughter with us and your wonderful stories please keep doing what you’re doing and don’t even pay attention to the haters❤️ God bless you all

I'm so glad I heard this pod cast today. It was so good. Thank you for taking the time to do these. Also, I'm sorry to hear that some people are getting down on Phil for his daughter. I personally think the situation was handled exactly right. No reason to hide her or not acknowledge her. Best thing to do was to bring it all out in the open. The best testimony has been Phil's repentance of his past life. But this also shows the people that there are continued consequences of our sin that we still have to deal with. But I loved what Phyllis said when she was on. She felt as she looks back at her life that as Phil was being saved, God was also protecting her and bringing her along. God covered her as well. Bless you all.

The majority of self proclaiming Christians are not born again and believe that Jesus is a celestial Santa Claus. Share the Biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ with them, pray for them, pray before you speak with them, and pray for the Holy Spirit to speak through you. Jesus didn’t come here to make people feel comfortable. Stand firm in your faith and conform to the image of Christ. If you are in Christ then you can expect to be rejected and persecuted by the world- those in the darkness hate the light.

It’s really helped me. I’ve learned a lot about the Bible. I hope it’s beneficial for you also.
@spencer18544 жыл бұрын
@@genocash8436 thanks man. I'll just say, In terms of dealing with unbelievers, think it's gotta be pretty much entirely about setting an example (of love, grace, forgiveness, patience, etc (virtues of being a good christian)) rather than trying to tell someone why you believe something, and why they should too. Like the Robertsons pointed out, you can always use logic to try and 'disprove' the Bible. Faith is a tough concept for those who only use their logical mind. I think the deepest form of understanding is of the heart, the soul. Something Science can't locate.
@dfischer17094 жыл бұрын
@@spencer1854 thats all good but scripture says Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. rom 10:17. we must present an unbeliever with the gospel message.
@spencer18544 жыл бұрын
@@dfischer1709 I agree that scripture is important. It has strengthened my faith for sure. That can't be the only thing you throw at an unbeliever however. To a reluctant, stubborn person with doubt in his mind and heart, you can throw scripture at him all you want (what I often did), but that may not change their mind: they will often view you as a number of things (ignorant, foolish, overly righteous, etc.) for believing in words written by a bunch of people thousands of years ago. Yes, give them highlights of what you believe (scripture), but leading by example from that scripture is more effective in reaching them.

Thank you for sharing another great video with us . I shared your video . Hopefully it will help people that don't believe in God . I pray it does help someone. I don't understand why it's so hard for some people to believe , but I can keep praying for them . God bless !! ❤😊🕊

its hard becuase the bible says until God opens our eyes we can not see. We are called to share the gospel message, only God can do the saving. Soli Deo Gloria^
