I am not Iranian, but I have visited Iran many times. Iran is not a country that you think you can imagine while sitting at home. Iran is a continent in every sense of the word in terms of geographical, environmental, and socio-cultural diversity. What also distinguishes Iran is its cleanliness, something legendary. All of Iran is clean, the important and less important cities, the main streets and squares, as well as the back alleys. You will not find pools of stagnant water, you will not find piles of garbage, you will not find even flies in Iran, can you believe that?
@taitazreverie9166 ай бұрын
I totally believe that. Even under such strict sanctions, Iran is still flourishing! May Iran and Islamic republic live long!❤

When I was around that age, my grandmother befriended widow and her two kids who had just emigrated from Iran. She helped show her around town and get acquainted with the city. Because I was *obsessed* with planes and plane crashes at the time, I remember basking the daughter, who was my age, if she ever saw a plane crash before, and she said "yes" immediately. For years I thought she may have been lying, but in hindsight, I realized that her family moved here around the time if the Iran-Iraw war, so it was definitely possible that she was telling the truth.

It is just the US that sanctions Iran but it doesn't matter as the US doesn't produce or manufacture anyway. Its greatest weapon against iran is the dollar and the SWIFT but probably iran trades with China, United Arab Emirates, India, Turkey and Germany using commodities and local currencies.

@@Generousworld exat. Shah was corrupt. thats why the revolution worked in the first place. CIA and Mossad also help the revolution because the Shah decided to sell his oil with his currency and not dollar. When revolution succeeded, they (west) found out that they are real patriots not corrupted, and wont sell oil and resouces markets to westerns for free as they do in other middle eastern and african countries. its true they are extremist, but that only helped the american propaganda. the revolution made Iran stronger and can stand to bullies.

I’m Greek, and I love my Iranian friends! Despite that bit of unpleasantness between Greeks and Persians some 2,500 to 2,300 years ago, I’ve always had a genuine affection and a deep respect for the Persians and their great culture. I’ve known many Iranians over the years, and everyone I met have been the kindest, gentlest and most hospitable people. In fact, Iranians - together with the Lebanese - have shown themselves to be among the truest and most generous companions (we Greeks also have the hospitality part abundantly in our blood, but we don’t always adhere to the first two qualities: my compatriots are generally nowhere near as easygoing as the Iranians). I’m also greatly interested in the history of the Achaemenid Empire, and I believe that Iran’s contribution to world civilization has largely been underplayed by most Western scholars. Thankfully, in recent decades, a new generation of eminent Iranologists have begun to rectify this. As an archaeologist myself, I would naturally love to visit the ancient sites of Persia and get to know the Iranian people in their own homeland. I haven’t managed it yet, but maybe one day soon - Inshallah...great video tour - thanks for sharing!

Few of my very close friends are Greeks. Don’t worry about the unpleasantness. It gives us something to talk about and tease each other. Generally, old civilizations get along just fine. It’s the new world people who are insecure and find that they have to be superior to mask their insecurities. But we have exceptions like Phil who are bridging the divide. In the end they will see the light. I am hopeful.

Finally, I saw some positive content and comments about Iran. I am Iranian myself and I appreciate all the good comments and kindness you have towards Iran. The culture, history, and beauty of Iran seem to me to be unparalleled. I am proud to live here and hope that the differences between the government of Iran and America will be resolved soon. Thanks dude!!!

Thank you for the time and effort to share your journey to Iran with us. I'm from the U.S and It doesn't surprise me that these people are very welcoming to new friends. I'm tired of all of the negative media coverage and propaganda. If one realizes that there is a very thin line separating most cultures from being at peace, and that is what we are shown on the TV. I don't watch it anymore. The negativity hurts my soul. Because of not watching all the garbage, I have no preconceived thoughts about other cultures. When I meet new people, I let their culture and people speak for themself. Thank you!
