Good work there, inspiring. My race pace is slower than your easy-easy day 😆 but partially thanks to your channel I'm getting back into running, not just cycling. Cheers!

Don't wanna contradict your coach or overstep but we do the side plank with band row things a lot in my training and it might help to be a bit further away from the rack to start with so you've got constant tension on the band. Great video and thoroughly enjoyable as always :)))))

Wow it's still crazy to me how much you run in a week! I did more running in April 24 than I have in any other month ever, a total of 87 miles. I'm gonna try to break that again this month but I can't imagine doing the same mileage in only one week, I need those recovery days in between!

Hi Phily, fairly new subscriber. I watched your video Q&A on how you make money being a KZbinr etc. I think a lot of us would be interested in the financial side who aren’t superstars (yet) for TEAM GB 🇬🇧 how they are paid, the sponsors they pick up, £/obligations/free gear from sponsors. I’m just a runner who general fitness and have not much interest in watching a full marathon or track/field apart from the Olympics and I imagine many of us are the same. So intrigued how it’s all financed as the sport is obviously much less watched then football ⚽️ boxing 🥊 etc where the big £££ are. Thanks 😊

Please consider a collaboration with Charles Hicks after the night of the 10 km PBs in London. Hicks will be targeting 2700 to represent Team GB at the European Championships and Paris Olympics.
@johnwhitesides5669 ай бұрын
Hicks ran 13:27 at Oregon Twilight this weekend - it rained the whole race but didn't appear windy. His Bowerman teammates paced him for the first 2+ miles. Assuming that effort indicates his current fitness, he's a long way from 27:00.

Great video! 👏
@johnwhitesides5669 ай бұрын
That 10k track workout was truly unique - basically you're doing short threshold reps with very short normal/steady run pace floats, peppered each mile with a race pace rep. How did that feel compared to the orthodox (i.e., Dellinger/Oregon) all race pace reps, equal distance steady run floats session (e.g., 400 @ 75 secs/400 @ 90 secs where the goal is 31:00)?
@PhilyBowden9 ай бұрын
I really loved it actually! A different stimulus is always fun and it made a long session easier to break up
@johnwhitesides5669 ай бұрын
Excellent - I will likely try some version of that in the near future. If I may ask, where was your HR at about halfway through the session (i.e., after several of the race pace reps accumulated)? @@PhilyBowden

Hi, phily I love all your videos. Always ideas on there, too. Is your Sunday run steady, can I ask.
@PhilyBowden9 ай бұрын
Sometimes Sunday is easy, sometimes steady or with a pickup at the end. In this video although the pace seems in my easy zone, the effort was probably steady thanks to the elevation!
@moggy9929 ай бұрын
@PhilyBowden Phily thank you for your reply. I sometimes have miles in my long runs where I run half a min faster for odd miles. Just so it's not all the same pace really. Then maybe a quicker half mile finish. I'm thinking of having some coaching sessions because I think I may be over training. I put in a 6- 6 - 30mm interval session a week roughly 3 - 4 miles. Then a 4 miles Kenyan hill repeats session @ 7.15 mm. These are apart from my long run and shorter steady ones. Obviously I'm to warm up and cool down too. Where do I get a sweaty top from with your merch please.

Philli! Question! I noticed that you changed your running shoes (brand new spikes today, racing shoes in previous videos) since resign from New Balance team. Is it just your curiosity of different brands or you feel that NB doesn't have what you need? ❤ all the best for you

Why the blur on calories?
@Flawgore9 ай бұрын
I think it's because of some cringe reason like "you shouldn't count calories as you get a bad relationship with food" or some other Bs
@PhilyBowden9 ай бұрын
I blur the calories because it can be triggering for people with disordered eating to see this stat. As someone who has experienced this I never want to trigger anyone. Plus, the validity of the “calories burned” is pretty bad, it’s not important to me like the other stats are: pace, HR etc.
