ENCORE: A Day in the Life
This show marked the first Phish performance of A Day in the Life. YEM segued into a HYHU vocal jam. Page teased Fanfare for the Common Man several times before Lonesome Cowboy Bill. Trey sang the verses of Fee through a megaphone.

Trey during this era deemed done with mastering the guitar and had moved to tone and soundscapes. A place where almost zero guitarists have been.

ehh I think a case could be made for such a statement starting later in 97. but in 95 he was still machine gunnin' it pretty hot and heavy. 95 was the transitional year from smaller venues to bigger amphitheaters and eventually New Year's Eve at MSG

Had been seeing Phish for 2 years at this point but only at shows local to the SF Bay Area. The summer tour opening run of Boise, Salt Lake, & Morrison was the first time I'd ventured on the road to see the boys. And I finally got my first Mike's H2 Grove at this show. This video is shot from very close to where I was standing this night with my boy @pjkelsch. A much simpler time it was back then. Amazing amazing memories. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU @MrMarmar420 for posting this. It's like I've stepped into a time machine.

I was front row and center at this show. By myself 16 year old. Tripping my nuts off. And security came up and ask me to move. It was to make space for Trey’s G ma. True story. Pretty cool. Front row at red Rocks with G ma. Plus it was my brothers birthday, and iI snuck him down.
