My first show ever! I get chills when I hear it...20 years later! This is the standard by which I compare all other Hoods..so glad someone posted it!

was at this show and remember the page licks at the beginning of the jam clearly...another incredible somewhat non-standard hood jam...love when they go off script....

I remember seeing them at the Capital in Portchester, 1992. The balcony was shaking. It felt like they would blow out the back of the building. We'd never seen anyone do what these four guys were creating on stage, and the thing is, they'd reached such an advanced level (Junta and Picture of Nectar had been released, Rift was being recorded) so early in their career, and just kept pushing themselves. Then you get 1995-1997, and if you listen to those Hoods, especially the fall 97 Hoods, you see that they've transcended the genre, and are playing with such ingenuity, spontaneity and confidence-- they'd become the thing itself.

C Vachon ya I love 11/22 Hood although that whole show is insane. Best antelope ever. My fave ghost is 11/17 fall 97 funk was full of great shows. What a stretch. Quite possibly their last great year touring between 93-97

Just listened to this Hood again and was completely emersed...as so many times before! I completely agree...all the Hoods of that era are live demonstrations of jam mastery. You knew you were in for a good time afer you heard the reggae drum intro!

What a masterful performance! I've heard 'em all and this Hood is definitely my #1 (12.31.93 is now my go to #2) It's truly a hidden gem given it only has 900 views! Unreal :-)

I remember this Hood and being pretty well out of my body trying to hold it together. Mr. minor sealing the deal. Good times :)

this is what makes a phish song , starts clustered and edgy and then at some point they release into a slow emotional jam, and you hop off the diving board into a pool of bliss , the tingles start hitting and so does te life contimplation #lsdcomeback

This is the closest thing to 12/31/93 hood. Its super peaks and rolling peaks and the explosion at 13:48 is as close to pure phish as ive ever heard.
