So, two things: 1.) I thought I might have to dip like part way through because of the possibility of "those" endings and didn't trust the game to do them well/respectfully and am glad I didn't have to dip. 2.) I have said "JESUS FUCk" the most in this stream than any other. Very fun stream, not for the faint of heart, get upset over easily triggering topics, or those that think Nicole or really anyone in this game is a good person.

Unironically yes, minus the secret society of white nationalists taking over the school. That was something I'd never seen/heard of before in my time as a student during those years and kind of stretched believability for me--although given how racist some people in power have been, I'm sure a smaller version of that happened somewhere--like a teacher recruiting for a Klan rally or something. Outside of that, all the stereotypes and creepy characters are pretty realistic, minus some minor exaggeration. Even if stuff never happened to you personally, you either knew somebody who did have to deal with that stuff or you heard stories and rumors of classmates and teachers you didn't know all that well. The dev said that the stories in this game are based on stuff he's either seen or heard about or people he knew, and considering I was in Jr. High starting in late '07 and started high school in '09, yeah that tracks.
