In response to Phisnom's "Nicole was a huge nerd" theory: Nicole knows enough about Hitler and the Nazis to recognize "Mein Kampf" as the Hitler book immediately, is aware of what was legal (on paper or in practice) from the 1920s to 1950s, loves watching Mythbusters, is aware of nearly every religion and the stereotypes involved with them, and is constantly aware of political ideologies from all time periods and what they mean on paper _and_ in practice. She wasn't just a nerd, she was a _history_ nerd, with some knowledge of an assortment of societal issues. I like to think that if it weren't for her mom's negative reinforcement and abuse and her dad's suicide, she would've had a bright future and -be friends with Jeffery- . Then again, she wouldn't have met Jecka. You win some, you lose some.

she could have had a bright future, but friendship with jeffery is simply not an option. you forget that jeffery sexually harassed any girl unlucky enough to be trapped in conversation with him, he just wasnt as overt about it as the other characters. instead she and jecka could have been marginally good students together, since jecka pretty much only skipped with nicole anyways.

As someone with a condition quite similar to sociopathy, I find Nicole both one of the most relatable characters in media, and also a constant reminder that I'm very fortunate to only have something close to sociopathy because holy shit.

The subtitle for this game is very accurate. This damn thing takes it up a notch and even more, compared to the first game. Drama left and right, the lethal amount of drugs present. What a time that was.

Yes, nicole is evil and sociopathic, but you still feel bad for her knowing what's happened, which leads her up to this point. (Being sympathetic for what people went through isn't the same as agreeing with their actions because of said trauma)

Here's the few issues that Ari and Karen have: Ari is messed up to where she would let people abuse/manipulate her (as you can see in the route with her and Nicole) and Karen has body image issues/probably an eating disorder, but either of them are a shitty person, just not okay

Its unfortunate I missed a lot of the stream today, but the parts I glimpsed were incredible. The whole bit about getting bullied out of your comfort preferences because of that terrible experience reminds me of my mom dreaming about kissing girls in highschool and being told that its just horomones so she shouldn't bother. She is now a lesbian. (Honestly, a prequel game regarding a bunch of the grown ups and maybe some faces we hear but never see could make for an incredible time. Class of 79'.)

If Class of '09 is going from 1 to 100, then The Re-Up is going from 100 to 1000! I also said this earlier, but this game is like an ant farm. Put a bunch of different ant species together and watch them go through life. Seeing a bunch of terrible people be placed under one roof and watching them bounce off each other and be themselves is great!
