Thanks very much Phlinger! I was wondering why I couldn't access the Mantis' inventory once I had it unconscious! Never would have guessed they were a passive tame! And that I'd need such specialized items to do it!

You can also spot the deathworms by setting the selfie camera angled towards the ground, when you can see through the ground mesh. Then you'll be able to see the worms hanging out vertically underground if they're around. So much for immersion but hey... you gotta do what you gotta do!

When I fly over the desert, I often see a worm in a single frame or two (just half a second).. Like a small blink of the worm, then I land and the worm jumps up

3 man operations are how we used to do it, one on wyvern for cover, one whistling gasbags and helping kill wild dinos, and one harvesting on the mantis

I usually take a Wyvern when I tame Mantis. They don’t cause aggro on anything out there, especially the Mantis (which saves on repellent), and makes it easy to clear the area. They’re also great to take down any Deathworms that may want to interrupt the tame.

Phlinger Phoo, I found your channel within the last month and I just adore it. You bring good vibes to the game, ya funny, and very knowledgeable. Thank you for making the series! On a more serious note, I've done countless googling and cannot find an answer for it and a couple other things. Rock Drake and Basilisk have gender now- can they be bred? Also, how would I go about scrolling past incompatible dinos that have been uploaded? I've downloaded myself to Aberration and of course you cant take flyers and I knew that going into it, but I didnt realize that I wouldn't be able to scroll past the flyers, rex, etc to get to the spino and other buddies. If you cant get around to an answer, I completely understand! Keep doing good work, my man.

If you're good at crate gathering on scorched you can get free mantis saddles. I've found about 2 ascendant prints for them and a bunch of mastercraft saddles pre built.

Watch out for Megatherium. A low level Megatherium killed and ate my max tame Mantis the first time harvesting wood with it.

You need to go to the obelisk and hit upload survivor in the middle of the screen. Once done, exit to main menu and load the map you want. Same to move back.

Nope, Deathworm Horns are the only thing they will eat.

Phlinger so scorched-earth isnt the only place mantis saddles drop and it's not the most common that would be on valguero I have them coming out of my ears if I was on a server every person who needed a mantis saddle they would have a TEAL mantis saddle. ;-; I have to throw them out and I am thinking of getting a tune of mantis's just for that

i feel like gigantopithecus REALLY needs a tlc so that it would move a little bit more like a human when you are riding it it would prob become one of the best gathering and fighting mounts in the game if you could go in first person and walk like a human also they should make it so that it could be a non dlc mantis by allowing to hold torches in caves and stuff that would make cave running a lot easier so you cna hold 2 weapons at once.

Just put stuff in the obelisk then go to scorched earth and go to any obelisk and your stuff will be there. Items go into the ark data and Dinos go into the middle part

450 hours in this is the hardest hitting tame I have because of a 506 sword BP. Giga can't touch this as far as DPS goes

There's not tho. PvE is so stale. All you do is breed to fight the bosses over and over again. Theres no rpg or story game play at all. Im all for the open sandbox, but it needs direction.
