Great video! Here are some other fun glitches I've come across: You can summon phantoms into an area where you've already defeated the boss by having another player lay down their sign near the borderline where the boss's fog gate used to be. Then the host quickly runs back and forth across the borderline in order to rapidly reload available signs. You can block attacks without the brief stun animation by tapping L1 at the right moment as if parrying an incoming attack. After parrying an enemy, you can tap square and R1 simultaneously. The enemy will be riposted and go into the animation of being attacked, but the player will go into the animation of using the hotkey item (and actually use it). By jumping off a ledge behind the Black Skeleton past the illusory wall at the beginning of Shrine of Storms 2, the player can reload right before falling to their death. They will spawn in the Storm King boss arena.

There was a glitch that I found a long time ago, I skipped the entire Latria world. I wanted to help a player in 3-1, but then I was summoned by the monk. I didn't want to be summoned as a red phantom, so I killed my character when the message was showed. After the loading screen, I was in front of the monk to fight him. So I was able to skip 3-2 and 3-3. Of course, I could also kill the maneaters from behind.

hey I just found your channel and I subbed :) Also I wanted to share another glitch colorless demon soul glitch 1-All you have to do is attack the primeval demon until it's health is low enough to be killed in one hit 2-try invading with the black stone 3-when the message "invading as a black phantom" pops a second time kill it and loot it 4-let yourself be killed by the host 5-enjoy the primeval demon is alive again and it will drop another soul you can repeat the process as many times needed I don't take credit for it's discovery but it was really useful and it was the only glitch I used on demS also nowadays it's almost impossible to pull of since almost no one plays this game anymore :(

Man Eater glitch was popular because back when the game was new and people didn't know how to build their characters or how weapon upgrades worked, people would often have too little DPS to kill the first man eater before the 2nd one showed up. So they'd end up fighting both at once, which is a lot harder than fighting just one. You can duplicate consumables using the multiplayer dupe glitch, it's just kinda pointless with Thomas duping. Only really useful for muling.

You forgot the soul sucker exploit. In pvp, instead of killing players, it drains player’s soul level and grants you one as well. If one player were to carry as much spice as possible, they could keep sucking levels out of another player. However, if the player losing levels closes out of the game, that player would only lose one level no matter how many times he got his level sucked. I believe that exploit still worked up until they shut down the servers

Thats not a glitch, it was meant to work that way. False King Allant can do the same thing to the player character. Spice definitely made it a lot more dangerous to leave your game unattended though!

Good video! While it didn't make the list, it's actually possible to summon a blue or red phantom in an area where a boss is already defeated. With this exploit, you can PvP in boss arenas or get help fighting some of the nastier Black Phantom NPCs.

Two interesting things from my Japanese copy: 1: When I try the dup glitch, my Nex. Binding ring still warps me even if I rapidly press O out the menu. However when I speak to Thomas he has 99-1023 of the item. 2: When I drop below out of bounds, my 2nd character didnt land on the tunnel and died. I thought you might of mentioned the sequence break of skipping the Old Hero fight and going straight to the Storm Demon fight. Rolling off the side just after the adjudicator fight/stone and then quitting the game and to restart widen you hear your hero scream. If done properly you will start where the Storm Demon fight will take place. To trigger it run back to the fog gate where the old hero fight would of taken place loading in the smaller mantis like demons.

The back of the spider and the fat minister undying are the only ones I didn't know of. I used the item duplication glitch...but no others. I used it because I had read/heard that a group of people were going to pvp on the game so I wanted to get in on that action. At least I was pretty far (I just killed the Flamelurker). I was under leveled for my progress, however, and didn't feel overpowered at all the rest of the playthrough. It was fun as hell, and was my second Souls game, a year before Dark Souls 2 came out.

A glitch I've found is if you were to die try turning off the console before "You've died" text popped up. That way you still have full health and the game will dropped you off at last save point which is sometimes at the fog door.

theres another exploit that not many people know about i guess, but you can drop undroppable items like the red eye stone. to do this you must have at least 3 consumables that you will eat (reccomended crescent moon grass) and have the 3 grasses arranged above the undroppable item (red eye stone in this case) so in your items tab of you inventory there would be 3 grass and a red eye stone underneath it. then you have to quickly select and eat the 3 grasses from the menu one after the other and right after the 3rd grass you would quickly press X again on the last grass before it would dissappear from your inventory and the normal prompt window for grass would pop up, but you would be hovering over the red eye stone now because the grass is gone, the game thinks theres still 1 more grass left and treats the red eye stone as a grass and lets you choose the "drop" command. this glitch/exploit is very helpful because you can give your friend a red eye stone without him having to beat the game first. It also leaves the glowing item sprite on the ground even though the item was picked up.

I remember in this game I accidently hit the Vendor in one of the areas. Turned out being one of the most needed vendors to upgrade a number of weapons. He then attacks you from then on and you cannot buy, or upgrade, anything from then on in game and this was after playing about 20 or 30 hours. Pissed me off!

@@steel5897 As someone who adores Demon's Souls, in my personal opinion it is one of the easiest in the series, once you get a good understanding of it. However it is the most punishing due to black world tendency which can screw you over on a blind play through. For the Remake I do want these bugs to be removed as the duplication glitch can completely break the game, that along with toning down magic as it was insanely overpowered.

There is a Dragon god sequence break, After using the first harpoon there are some stairs that take you to the next sequence. Jump off the second top of the stairs and try to land on the railing. Jump off the railing and you should be in the outer area where you finish dragon god at the end, from there you will go towards the next harpoon without the stress of dragon god trying to burn you there will be a opening to jump back into the sequence to the last piece of debris before the second harpoon. I hope this helps and i hope it made sense.

I mean, I'd argue Armored Core is more responsible for From's success as a big game company. Yeah, the Souls series launched them into the (somewhat) mainstream, but AC has been a consistently successful franchise for them for quite some time and before that, the King's Field games.

i don't even Yeah, it's pretty amazing. You have endless options to customize your AC, each body part can be applied individual colors, and there's endless parts to choose. The story's pretty amazing, told through cutscenes but not overtly long or complex. The environments are really detailed (not so much graphically wise but design wise) and the controls are really fluid. About the only downside is that the games are really really hard, but if you build your AC right, and understand the game's mechanics, it becomes remarkably easier. I love the Souls games + the King's Field games, but Armored Core is my favorite From Software game. You can get the first couple games from PS1 on the PSN for ... 4.99 I think? Definitely give them a chance.

i don't even Check out some gameplay footage of them on YT before you do. I'll sing praises to hell and high heaven about them but I'm also the first to admit they're not for everyone. The earlier games are a little less feature packed in the way of campaign stuff than later ones, and a lot more rough on the controls, but they're still more than worth it. Some other good mech series are the Mechwarrior games, the Front Mission series (Final Fantasy Tactics or Tactics Ogre, essentially, but with mechs, called Wanzers), and an honorary mention to the Zone of the Enders series.

+PhobiaSoft Actually, Soulsucker does work on non-humanoid enemies. At the same time, I don't believe it works on bosses or Old King Doran.

For the maneater glitch if you use lower your life below 30% (Makoto sword is a good way to do this) and equip clever rat ring and morion blade, you coul kill the maneater from behind the fog in a minute, even less if you use white bow, good arrows or have a good dex build. The "time consuming" part of the process is for noobs.

Omg I completely forgot about the fat minister glitch! I once joined as a blue phantom and this happened. I remember having to leave the host multiple times to purchase old spice for everyone to use the soul sucker

It's not as reliable as you think. It basically needs to be paired with crushing, sharp or quality to outdo the damage output of a normally trained-for weapon. You have to consider that the damage is a static 150 boost or something, and you can do around 2x that with the dragon longsword if you upgrade it or a blessed/crescent weapon if you're a particularly dedicated caster in mag or faith. With the no level range mod running on Yuvi's server it's not that big of a deal because there's no real level meta but back in the day you'd have had to sacrifice valuable points into faith (and int for the three slots needed for cursed weapon). Cracking is really more of an outdated speedrunning/pvp method than it is a viable playstyle beyond NG.

A skeleton trapped in a man body yea I’m pretty aware of everything you stated, like I said I bought this back when it first came out, had no idea what it was at the time but was 5$ in the bargain bin at Hastings in Grandbury Texas... the font and short summary on the back of the black phantom edition is why I bought it. It became my favorite game next to Doom...

My favorite glitch in demon's souls is the Nexus black Smith dupe glitch. Best way to mid max stats and level.

theres few missing e.g.: - all pivot shenaningans (pivot cast, late pivot cast, recovery cancel) except spell switch which is based on pivot casting - toggle escape (allows for rolling away from most of stunlocks except dagger/knuckle) - boss area summoning - backstep/quick item riposte etc. most of them are known to ds pvpers only tho (and still more complex pivot exploits are widely unknown on eu/na servers). decent list nonetheless and hey, its demons souls, the original ds therefore like :)

4:21 That makes me wonder if the power within health drain scaling with the pyromancy flame's level in DS 1 was inspired by this. If you don't know in Dark Souls 1 it was beneficial to cast power within with the lowest level pyromancy flame you can as the buff stays the same, but the health drain increases the higher level the pyromancy flame is.

I don't think either were intentional. The Power Within glitch was patched in Dark Souls 1, so you're right about the health drain scaling with the Pyromancy Flame's upgrade level, but if you're playing the most recent patch, the health drain on Power Within is static, no matter the upgrade level. I guess it just wasn't worth the effort to retroactively patch the glitch in Demon's once DS1 was already out.

Well actually you can just skip the Vanguard since it is an optional/tutorial boss (fog would be in front of him if he were required) not because it is an exploit, but using the fog to de-aggro mobs is the real exploit. You can also skip the 3 guys with the spears in Boletaria that way if you already killed them, you can test it if you want, I pretty much got everything.

It depends on the weapon. Cursed weapon increases only physical damage by 50%, while Light weapon adds around 200magic damage (if I recall correctly, not sure). This means that cursed weapon surpases light weapon considerably if you're wielding a pure physical weapon with huge base damage and rocking a pure physical build (like pure Str, pure Dex or Quality). If the base physical damage isn't that high, or if you have an un-optimized or hybrid build with sub 40 points in Str/Dex/both, then yeah, Light weapon will outclass cursed in this case Back in the day, many people used it and prefered it to Light weapon as the go to weapon buff in PVP for these kind of builds. Once you get a one shotting Cursed buffed Dragon Bone Smasher into the face you never forget it.

You forgot the never die glich. Just quit the game as soon as you die, before the message "You died" fades and you will be revived alive again on the last item you got. Made a no death run this way once.

Well, there Is ONE that's pretty lame, but simple to do, while online, you are going to find your favorite player message, and then rate it, BUT after rating it walk a few feet away, and then view it again, after that you'll see that you can rate it AGAIN, I don't think anyone new this but me, so cheers to me I guess ^^

It still costs 100 mana and you have a maximum of 99 old spice + 99 fresh spice. And you can just Thomas dupe Beast Demon's Souls, which give 200k souls per use. Or whichever is the largest soul you have available at the moment.
