Phoebe is probably one of the few people to not only play songs from artists that people probably never heard of, because you can tell that the songs she covers meant so much to her when she was growing up. I’m admire her for doing this beautiful cover from one of the most overlooked bands the 80s weren’t probably not ready for. ❤️

I really like what she did with the song- and to play it to a MN crowd is cool. However, it just doesn't have the raw impact of of the original. The character in the song is a landscaper In his mid-20's who has given up on his life and nothing will ever change. All he has left in the world is drinking himself stupid with his friends and pretending that things don't bother him. It is so fucking sad. The girl sings like an angel and there is a strange compassion in her singing the song he doesn't sing for himself.

I first discovered Phoebe through Conor Oberst of BE, which I am so thankful for. Conor was a catalyst to get a Rock Star like Phoebe enough popularity to get noticed a little quicker. And its also a great story that Conor and Phoebe have a great friendship. Anyways, Conor did a Cover of "Here Comes a Regular" and I was blown away... But Wowww, dare I say that Phoebe did it better?? Its the toss of a coin

I love this song...the Replacement are one of my very favorites. Her version is just completely lifeless . I have tried to Phoebe... really tried, but she really doesn't have much of a voice, and her original stuff seems to fall falt as well . Is there one song of hers that could possibly change my mind 🤔
