Tama, yung ibang case ng rape hindi na nare-report, lalo na yung mga nasa rural area. They just shut down themselves. Yung iba nababaliw na lang. Yung iba naman paulit-ulit naghahanap ng comfort sa mga maraming lalaki (kung ang victim ay babae). Yung ibang victim nagpapakamatay na lang.

This is very heart-wrenching to be honest but at the same time, very inspirational. Thank you for speaking out loud Ms. Phoebe. You are a very wonderful person. I agree that God has a reason for letting something like rape happened. But it is meant not as a punishment like what I used to think before. I was so hard with myself that it almost break me until I realized that there is something in that pain that meets the eye. That pain has its purpose. I have a purpose and that is when I start sharing about it to my church family. (I am still on my way to tell my own family though it happened back when I was still a child. I remembered sharing with other youths in our church who have been through the same battle and it was such a warm experience that I will never forget. I have learned that our story can bring so much strength to others who are still in the midst of their own battle. Later on, it fueled me more to continue my covenant as a writer. I write novels and essays to raise awareness to people not just those who have survived rape but all those who are struggling in their life, especially with depression which I have been through as well.

The number one problem that we have in modern society even here in the Philippines is that we don't teach the value of chivalry anymore in our society. Most parents are too busy with themselves, which leads to them not teaching their children how to become better people. They delegate the work to either their yaya's or an ipad. Even during her generation a lot of children where raised in a lassie faire manner. We have forgotten that the most fundamental aspect of raising a child is to raise a person that will be a respectful and an integral part of society.
