When i lear;nt to drive i was always told too keep my hands at the 10 to 2 position, but iv'heard recently that this is not correct, these days, because if you do, and the airbag goes off, it can break both off your wrist.

On the 'spotting signs' discussion, one hint my instructor gave me was that if you are exiting a side road onto a new one, can you the *back* of a circular sign as you approach the give way markings. If you can, it's probably the limit for the road you're exiting. While it won't necessarily tell you what the limit of your new road is, it does tell you that it's *different*. If it's a bigger road, probably higher.

Hii, I just wanted to ask, for anyone to answer, when are u supposed to be doing mock tests with your instructor? I have my test in a month on the 23rd and we haven't done the emergency stop or any mock tests yet. I'm also very hesitant some days, so I'm not entirely confident, which is why i would love to do mock tests. Or am i just being paranoid and he's waiting to be closer to the test?

As far as I am aware doing mock tests is not part of the 'syllabus' as such; instructors do not have to do them. Feel free to ask your instructor if you can do some with them. When it comes to the emergency stop my instructor only made me do 2 the day of my test. However, if you have questions about when you're going to cover a topic or feel like you're weak in a certain area and need more practise don't hesitate to ask.

I wonder: If you go left on any roundabout you encounter (the easiest option), no matter the directions you're getting, will you seriously not fail your test?

If you go a wrong direction it's not a minor or major but if you keep doing it the examiner can terminate the test.

My instructor's suggestion: don't brake when going over bumps, or your foot might bounce into the pedal and brake extra hard. Brake before bumps of any kind, and potholes.

How it is when somebody doesn't trust him/herself normally i experienced myself when i failed my first psychological and medical examination which was necessary for my taxi driver licence. I rushed the tests on the computer because of nerves. When driving back home from the test i felt so bad like a driver who lost their licence due to alcohol or drug abuse (in my imagination).😂😂

I'm wondering, how long does it take to get a licence in the UK, because in my country I passed all my tests and got a license in a month. And the required hours to pass the driving is 31 hours. 1 hour of driving is 45 minutes by astrological time

I pass my test 3 weeks ago and just yesterday I get flash for my speed I was doing like 38 to like 40mp on a 30 zone and the sad thing about it the camera was cover in Bush I did not see it untill I get flash I’m just studying if I will lost my license anybody on here can’t help or have a idea on what will happen to my license thanks
