At the very least, I'd guess Nick would know of Iris's fate. Whether she was released from prison, still there, or gotten capital punishment (unlikely since she wasn't found guilty of murder), Nick probably made regular visits.

I believe the ending montage of all the non-murderous characters at the end of the game imply she eventually gets out. Bikini says something along the lines of "I can't wait until Iris comes back." Plus I doubt anyone involved in that case got a serious sentence except possibly Godot simply because it was all done to keep an innocent person (Maya) from death. Furthermore, it's probably very likely that Misty knew the risks and that her dying was a very high probability, and she probably even saw her death as the most favorable outcome of this situation once Dahlia attacked Maya.

Concidering we learn in investigations 2 that Sahwit didn't get the death penalty, it seens only premeditated murder gets Captain punishment in Japanifornia. I don't think Morgan would have been executed because she only incited murder - she didn't directly kill anyone. Her fate is never mentioned in the games, though I do seem to remember her dying in jail for some reason.

Actually the only people who are comfimed dead after losing to Phoenix, are dalieha and von karma and considering there body count, it makes sense. We meet saw it again in investigations and considering he speaks about getting out eventually, it seems most of them got sentences based on severity , if anything akme was probably tossed into the loony bin after his break down.

Iris' arrest was for obstruction of justice, which can carry a sentence of up to ten years, depending on severity. Trials and Tribulations ends in Feb 2019, and Spirit of Justice happens in 2028. If they wanted to bring back Iris in a new game, now would be the perfect time to do it.

My educated headcanon about everyone’s fate not mentioned here: Larry Butz is perfectly fine and taking up art when we see him in SoJ Sawhit is stuck in prison by I2 and he’s probably still there White is probably dead but if he’s in prison then he has no life to return with the ruined reputation. Vasques is probably in prison Edgeworth is canonically high prosecutor now Von Karma is probably dead The 2-1 killer is likely in prison (don’t remember the name.) Max probably isn’t doing that great if what happens to the circus in I2 is anything to go off. They keep running into problems. And that’s it.

Godot is probably still alive, since the trial proved the killing of Misty Fey was justifiable homicide, thus his only real crime would be obstruction of justice. Unless Godot wanted to plead guilty to murder anyway, which is something I could see him doing. Lana and Iris both would also only be charged with obstruction of justice, but Lana would probably get a light sentence due to being coerced, leaving only Iris with a full sentence, but given the circumstances of her whole incident, she'd probably serve near the minimum sentence of 3-5 years, meaning she'd likely be out by apollo justice.

I don't think they were executed, mainly because off Joe Darke (Ace Attorney 1) and Jeff Masters (Investigation 2). SPOILERS BELOW (I don't care how old the game are, they're good). Joe Darke was one of the few characters who was confirmed to be executed and he was killed pretty shortly afterwards (though I guess he was a serial killer), and Jeff Masters, who was framed for a murder but still confessed, sat in prison for 18 years, and he only got out because the real culprit was overseas for 3 years, extending the statute of limitations for a few years. Also, Sirhan Dogen is still running the show from his cell.

A few notes about each of those cases: first, I wouldn't be surprised if Joe Darke's execution was expedited by Gant and Lana - after all, they had to silence him quickly lest anyone believe that he didn't actually commit that last murder or try to investigate it further. Second, recall that Jeff Masters was only convicted of being an accomplice to murder, so he would have received lighter punishment than someone convicted of murder. Finally, we don't know how long Sirhan Dogen was in prison for (keep in mind it took five years for Dahlia to be executed), but even if his execution date were to come, he was actively blackmailing the warden of the prison, so he easily could have had his execution indefinitely postponed.

Manfred is confirmed dead executed for his crimes but .... who's to say the law was the executioner and not the inmates he locked away? My headcanons for the others: Lana Skye probably got optional parole being she was forced into the scheme by Gant. I'd imagine Morgan Fey is probably waiting for her execution by the time Apollo Justice or Dual Destinies rolls around. Iris probably would get jail time with parole plus a LOT of community service. After the stunt he pulled in the Investigations games (I think specifically helping the Warden in 2) he lost his chance at parole and got extra time (pretty sure that was implied in game to be what'll happen) Von Karma, Gant and Lana Skye are probably being kept away from the general population of prison especially Gant and Von Karma. Iris I think was kept away Morgan and Ini/Mimi for her own safety (luckily she doesn't have to worry about Dahlia

Lana would NOT get off the hook that easily. Despite her reasons she STILL ruined a lot of innocent people's lives, when she could've did the right thing and own up to everything. She's definitely getting at least 6-10 years in prison. And even if she got out on parole, she'd have to do a lot of community service, and she would lose her position. You're giving Lana way too much of a slap on the wrist in comparison to Iris, who did far less. I'd say she'd get the same amount of time Andrews got a few months to a year or two at best with parole.

*Spoilers for PW trilogy* Hmm this has made me think if they would have all been executed or not... I feel like Capcom wouldn't just kill off defendants that went to jail for other crimes so people like Iris and Lana are definitely still alive. However, the culprits have pretty much all tried really hard to cover up their crime so they probably wouldn't have gotten lighter punishments but honestly, I don't think that means they were all executed. I think I've come to a conclusion though. 1. Capcom wouldn't be that dark. It would make Phoenix look like a murderer and the player would feel more guilty. What about loveable culprits like Godot? It would also ruin the story. Godot, for example, would have no reason to give his speech about realising he was wrong if he was about to get executed. 2. If you look at Engarde's case, he asks for a guilty sentence because "If I go free... I'll be killed..." meaning he wouldn't have been executed by the prison so he wanted to go there to *escape* death from de Killer. If Matt Engarde doesn't get a death penalty, then would the other culprits really get one? Also Morgan Fey wasn't killed either after being a huge accomplice to a murder. Accomplices irl face the same punishment as the person they helped so Morgan was most likely also charged with murder (and lived). 3. The death penalty is reserved for the worst of the worst. Dahlia was executed because she killed 3.5 people (Terry Fawles, Doug Swallow, Valerie Hawthorne and Diego Armando is the .5 because he barely survived), staged a kidnapping to steal a $2.5 million jewel and probably more. All of the other culprits pretty much only killed 1 person and maybe did some other crimes like messing with crimes scenes and whatnot. Bad, but not AS bad as killing 4 people and stealing a very precious jewel. 4. Some culprits don't react as if they're gonna die when they're figured out. People such as Vasquez, von Karma, Gant and Mimi just to name a few end up calm after their breakdown as they go into police custody. If you look at Matt Engarde, now THAT is the face of someone who fears for their life.

Like the only characters who are confirmed to get the death penalty(I haven't played past the o.g trilogy so I might be wrong) are people who did really bad things on top of murder, Dahlia was involved in multiple murder cases and Joe Darke killed multiple people, it isn't said that Von Karma got the death penalty so it's more likely he just died due to being pretty old and prison doesn't have the best healthcare(It also takes about 5-6 years for inmates to be executed anyway so Von Karma couldn't have been executed)

The Wikis are fan made and only tell you what's in the games. In fact, the status on many of the killers pages says "arrested" because it's not even confirmed whether or not they even got convicted. The death penalty does exist in Japanafornia as evidenced by Joe Darke, Dahlia Hawthorne, and Simon Blackquill (he almost got executed). Thus, it's not absurd to think that many of the lovable villains from the original trilogy have been put to death.

Godot could have died after Trials and Tribulations, but I doubt it would have been through execution, Godot was poisoned and attack by a dagger, so he could have died, however, him being my favorite character, I want to believe he is still alive.

Though a framing attempt, tampering with evidence (and coming up with a dumb plan that puts himself and others into danger instead of just telling Pearl not to summon a ghost) would probably still land him in jail.
