That’s a good drag racer’s wife ! 🙌🏻. Good point about pulling the belts tight, I drive a dragster and I pull my belts tight to the point of being slightly uncomfortable. I see so many guys with loose belts when racing and it bothers me and I guess they just don’t realize how violent a crash can be. I’m the track chaplain at my home track and I once visited a dragster driver in the hospital that crashed violently and did not have arm restraints on. His hands were severely injured.

My so happy James is ok. Glad he was in a safe race car. James and I are about the same age, mid 50’s. My opinion-- To race at this level is very expensive and it takes time away from the family you will never get back. If I was James, I would give up chasing the NPK thing. Sell off everything and build one killer small tire car and hit some cash days style events on the street or backside of the track no prep races. Some of those are paying $20-$30k. If he does this he can build his business and think about retiring in a few years. Semi retire and build small tire race cars. Small tire is where the money is. Go to any no prep event and look at the car count. 12-15 big tire cars and 40-60 small tire cars. Plus the true street classes are getting huge. Big tire racing is a thing of the past in Indiana,Ohio and Kentucky. Not sure about the rest of the country, but guys tell me it’s the same everywhere. James needs to ask himself why? Is this NPK racing worth all the expense and time away from family? He could make more money small tire street racing at this point. For a 1/4 the investment. This is just my opinion. If he wants to be on TV he should get Pilgrim to do another street car show like they did last year. That was the best racing show Discovery did in years. They had cars that normal blue collar guys can relate to. Cars like we have in our garage. So glad James is ok. 🇺🇸🦅🏁

The Roof, Quarter panels, and Pillar posts are steel the rest of the car, doors, front clip, deck lid, floors, are carbon fiber or fiberglass, the windows are lexan or polycarbonate, the entire frame/roll cage is chrome moly and firewall is aluminum or titanium

God had His hands on Reaper and that's pretty much it..I know those car's are built good but without the good Lord above on your side, nomatter how good the car's are built, always thank God for everything nomatter what the circumstances are..It's a dangerous sport especially when you have so much horsepower in those car's, eventually something is going to go wrong in a split second and that's a very short amount of time to think about how to walk away from it. That's when Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior steps in and helps us to survive cause from what I seen, he didn't have a scratch on him although I'm sure that he got hurt but the adrenaline had him sorta calmed at that point in time but always thank God for everything on a daily basis, all day every day cause after all's said and done. Reaper lived another day to tell his story and eventually race again..I've watched those guys and gal's barrel roll down the road or track and walk away from it. Again, the car's are built good cause otherwise none of em would survive but we always have to thank God that we get to live another day after such horrible and horrendous crashes, Amen ❤
