One thing I noticed with your couse is that it's not a hard once per turn phalanx is why it just seems better for that reason alone

Been playing Dragunity on duel links so I've been looking at buying them in TCG since they're cheap and I've got a lot of Dragon combo deck cards from building Rokket Dragon Link. Of course the day I find this video and look at tcgplayer, they announce a new structure deck. Gonna write down this decklist and wait on the announcement for what's reprinted in the structure deck before buying Dragunity cardboard. Thanks for the content!

There's something so appealing of the 7/7/1 split in Extra Decks to me. My Dracopals (before I shift it over to Dracomagicians) is 7/7/1 but with Link/XYZ/Synchro instead of the Link/Synchro/XYZ.

Hello, Phoenix I really love the Dragunity archetype and I would love to play it competitively (I know, I know, you just said these were not useful for that) could you give me some tips to at least try? Anyway, thanks for the great videos and for remembering the Dragunitys

The problem with Dragunity is that it is a “glass cannon” sort of deck. Although it’s combos are AMAZING if you can pull them off, this deck is completely RUINED by handtraps. If I were you, I’d probably play a deck like Rokket dragon link. It does the guarddragon things kind of like this deck, but it is more consistent and MUCH less susceptible to interruption. If you have your heart set on Dragunity, though, this decklist is probably your best bet.

I owned my first dragunity deck back in 2011 and it makes me so happy to see a profile that looks consistent and at the same time is able to pull out massive boards. By the way man; I hear that Konami is gonna give The dragon of dark steel to european soon too

Have you thought about using summoner monk? I believe you said about it at some point in the combo video but ive been using it in mine and works so well with the fact he fills the role of being the extender aswell as a starter card meaning if the foolish or shrine gets ashed you can still rely on him. Also i play triple shrine so i can dump multiples to grave for him too.

@@PhoenixFlareX Ah okay i get you, but yeah youve helped me to get combos going with this deck again so cheers for that and i loved the combo and deck profile. Uve had dragunity since it released i got one structure deck when i was like 8 and when i got into yugioh properly i played this and ive struggled with combos ever since agarpain as i only could pump out 2 to 3 negates but this is sm better so much respect youre insane at figuring these combos and truly deserve more subs for what you do 👍👍👍

What made you want to play some of the cards over Rokkets? A small Rokket engine to follow up with Striker, Beatcop and Starleige? As an example. Wouldn't that open up a lot of the deck's possibilities, especially with the Guardragon engine you're stuck into Dragons.

Hey Phoenix! I just got back to yu-gi-oh and I was a huge fan of playing that deck, thanks to your fabulous work back in the days. I do understand that so many things changed, but I wonder how your opinion would change on the deck if "I know it is a big if" terraforming was at 3?

That one's weird, because Ravine is like casually the worst card in the deck. But 3 Terra would possibly let us play Dux over Senatus which makes Ravine NOT the worst card in the deck anymore. It would really depend on the scope of what combos we are doing whether we need Dux or Senatus.

what do you think about the new OCG card "Wynn the Wind Medium?" Since we run almost purely wind monsters in the main deck, it allows you to search any monster from your Deck, provided you have another monster in hand. The only real drawback i believe is that it does lock you out of REDMD's effect.

I Love your videos ! :) I wish dragunitys could summon more winged beast cards. I am tired of so many dragons in the game. Do you think is possible for this deck to summon the link simorgh ? And make that negation loop with mist valley ? .... or at least 1 negation ?

raul Jimenez probably not. Your best play starter (senatus) locks you out of summoning non dragon monsters from the extra deck.

In my Dragunity build, I run a copy of Daigusto Phoenix for if I end up with too many of my tuners in my hand at once so I can have that extra option for a big damage play from an Ascalon equipped with Luin

My opinion probably isnt as good but like a spell that has the effect of discard a dragunity card from the deck to special summon a dragunity winged beast monster from the deck and activate its effect ignoring its activation conditions or activate its effect as if it was normal summoned

I have a few suggestions...avec avion/simorgh might be a good booster, another card can be legacy of guard dragon spell, another option may be "hear me out" to play performapal odd eyes synchron in order to tune with a scale to unbrick hands.

1. We are locked to Dragons we cannot make Simorgh 2. World Legacy Guardragon is the most reasonable suggestion here but it still sucks, as a 3rd card for a combo it enables nothing. Senatus + Tuner + Guardragon is not a combo in any meaningful way. 3. Performapal Odd-Eyes Synchron doesn't unbrick anything. It itself is a brick, it can't be used to make Luin or any lv6 we would want.

Look up Rokket Link. Most recent build I could direct you to that I know of from an event is Top 8 3v3 YCS Las Vegas. It is the most relevant Dragon deck in the game currently.

MST the LaDD. Brionac the LaDD, Dust Tornado the LaDD. Scrap Dragon the LaDD, literally do anything to the LaDD that involves destroying it without destroying Leyvaten. You cannot select Leyvaten to revive with LaDD because it is on field not destroyed yet but will be soon by LaDD's effect. And the fundamental of the combo was awful because LaDD destroyed your board everytime. So you could not commit to playing the game. The LaDD combo saw literally zero competitive success.

Not even the issue. The power ceiling of Dragunitys is consistently on par with some of the best decks of this and the past few formats. It's issue is it's power floor is non-existent, where the decks in the format with a comparable power ceiling currently in the format have a much higher power floor when their intended play does not occur or gets interacted with.
