PhoenixSC Reacts to Non Euclidean Minecraft

In my previous Non Euclidean Minecraft Mod video, you all saw PhoenixSC attempt to escape my Non Euclidean Backrooms! After we finished with the maze, I spent the next hour or so geeking out over the mods and showing Phoenix what the mod was capable of! I'm having a lot of fun playing with Minecraft 1.16.5 mods lately, and I'm really grateful for everyone who's been watching and subscribing. In portal, there's an incredibly complex system that cuts a hole in the colliders, allowing you to walk through the portal without having to apply a Boolean to the players collider, as well as preventing that falling glitch

Non-euclidean Minecraft has become so popular recently, and the only reason why is because it messes with things that usually don't work in vanilla no matter how hard you try. It does things that in generic MC are incredibly hard (if not impossible) to achieve without thousands of commands and a boatload of lag. This is going to be a mod that will stick around for a LONG time.

Something I hope they change about the Pekhui mod: The perspective. As you grow or shrink, your perspective doesn't grow or shrink, it just raises or lowers. If you got bigger, including your eyes, everything would appear to actually shrink in size, and vice versa. But in the mod that doesn't happen. Yet.

​@@roccoleader279 1. This was a year ago and it may have changed since I used it 2. The perspective changes vertically, but the actual scale of things, at least in the versions I played and in this video, it doesn't. When you get smaller, things appear "bigger" but they're just above you. When you get smaller, your actual view should shrink, making everything around you appear to be larger. It's kinda hard to explain, and it could very well have changed in the mod since then, but I hope I explained what I meant properly. It's kinda like those minecraft maps with mega versions of blocks. Everything towers over you. It doesn't necessarily work like that with pekhui, or at least it doesn't work that well.

@@luviana_ If you look, you can see that the pixels of blocks when Theo was really tiny were larger than him. That means that it really is scaling the size of the player, not just raising and lowering the height.

@@nikkiofthevalley I'd have to test it, but maybe what I was really noticing was a lack of FOV change. All I know is that, when you shrink, a part of it is not scaling right, and it causes things to look a little off. As it turns out, though, I may not be entirely sure about what it is that makes me think that. I know the pixels are scaled, but it might be something else. I might load up the mod and test it some time, to figure it out.

pehkui is a mod used by many other mods for size-scaling, so the immersive portals dev(s) would have to set the pehkui:attack separately if I, someone who has no programing knowledge, had to guess.

Pekhui is more of an API than a mod, as it doesn't add that much to the game, it just adds stuff so other mods can use it

Scale does not scale attack and health because portal uses "pekhui:base" which has an impact on few parameters (like height or width and motion) but not all. Ps. As small guy from portal (or by command /scale set pekhui:base) you can't go on stairs or half blocks normally xd

I remember my first time finding something non-Euclidean. I was playing portal, and tried an online map. Just picked a random one and there was a door frame in the middle of the room. I was so lost, going and looking through the portal and walking back, and it took me a while to realize that if I walked around the “door” frame, more shit would appear. Then I realized I was being played.

Use LittleTiles instead of Chisel and Bits. It has better ease-of-use, and you can make functional things (doors, sittable chairs, elevators, sleepable beds). I tried it out and never went back.

what would happen if you set the attack to negative? would it heal the player you hit or would it just not damage them?
