one more thing you two can do is log in to the router and change the channel they are sending on seemslike many are using same channel 100 on 5g wifi. so what i would have done is change the 5g wifi to channel 136 or 140 and Bandwidth 160mhz as you are in such a small place it should give you less interference and better speed. and the 2.4ghz i would change to channel 9 just to bring you in between of the rest around you should make all overall better.

Ah. Wij hebben gewoon ADSL modem maar zover we kunnen zien / vermoeden, heb je toch een modem nodig als tussen schakel zeg maar.

Hoi, ik heb deze nu ook een maand... Het is zeer krachtig.. MAAR ik heb het gevoel dat hij soms gewoon enkele seconde wegvalt of dergelijke.. Hebben jullie dit ook?

We hebben dat probleem al een paar jaar waarbij we echt een patroon zien. Bepaalde tijdstippen bevriest de verbinding . Dat was er ook voordat we deze hadden. Een soort internet provider mysterie die we denk ik nooit zullen snappen 😂

Don't buy it. We have been using it since then and it looks like it made things worse honestly. Still can't find how exactly though

@@DisDutch Probably you are suffering double NAT issues. Be careful when adding another router to an established one, since it will have two subnets. The old from the modem/router (192.168.1.x) and the new one created by Huawei which originally is in the 192.168.3.x You can fix it, setting the company's router in bridge mode, so all the network duty is carried out by the new mesh router. Other thing to try is setting the sub network in DMZ or setting the Huaweis as access point mode. Good luck!!

The easiest way is setting up Huawei as access point (AP). You have to do by browser, because is not available by app. Connect to 192.168.3.1 with a browser. This IP is the default for Huawei routers if not look for the default one. Then, in internet connection change from DHCP to bridge (AP). In this mode, your Huawei devices behaves as an extension of your own network. After that, disable wifi of your internet company modem router to take advantage of WiFi 6. Nevertheless, in the Huawei AX3 8s not possible using Hilink (mesh) in AP mode, but in other brands I know is possible. You can try it. In this way the configuration of all your devices is maintained. Good luck

@@horkoser Considering ISP provided router/modem combos typically have shitty router part, I'd just enable bridge mode on the ISP provided router/modem and turn off its wifi and just let this huawei system do the routing functions as well.

How is the Huawei been proving itself?

Concerning the IP-address issue. xxx.xxx.xxx.255/24 is a broadcast address. One you should not use this for any device. So xxx.xxx.xxx.254/24 would work.
