5:54 As a honest subscriber, with due respect I would like to say that even watching too much self improvement and productivity based content or ideas suggesting study techniques can be really bad. If you fall in this loop, you're constantly looking for a rush that you derive from watching such content. Further you start having a false hope that you're watching content for your betterment only and considering it good. I think you're consistency on KZbin is near perfect. That gives us ample time to try out the solutions you suggest. So thank you for that .

That is absolutely true! That's one of the reasons I take extended breaks from my channel as I don't want to push these kind of impractical videos too often. I try giving homework and summary so that there's some takeaway. Plus planning to bring in more practical breakdown videos instead of just speaking about self-improvement! So yeah that's about it

@@ayushjotwani What you said is indeed true! I was stuck in that loop some time ago, where I used to just consume self-improvement stuffs and would never take real action.. This is why I've set a limit to watching these stuffs as well. It makes you feel like you're bettering yourself in some way but reality speaks otherwise.

My current screen time - 1 hr 30min + 1hr laptop + tv Didi everything single thing you mention is so true and fr happening with me , i am so addictive to fanfics and yt shorts knowing i have a lot to study , I have done so many things to decrease this and start getting productive but i just can't But let's not stuck in that guilt and stay like that , let's keep faith and believe in ourselves that we can do this !!!!!!

I used to watch insta reels then deactivated account ... Then moved toward youtube reels . The update expired .. I thanked Almighty for it but now i am stuck at facebook reels where my feed is full of one shot movie explanation or young sheldon . I got new tablet and started my youtube career again . KZbin alone is enough for me to waste my time and make me more and more lazy. I'm living away from home to prepare for a government job, but these habits are constantly stopping me. One more recommendation from me: You can turn on the the Restrcited mode in yt as it turns 📴 comments so after watching the video you would go and do your work rather than reading and responding to other people comments. If you want to comment or see if video is useful or not you can always turn it on. Turning the comment section off 📴 also helps in not influencing your view about that video, like sometimes it happens we don't like the video but after reading so many positive comments about the same we feel yeah it's not that bad.

You are consuming more information because your brain thinks that it is getting more intelligent by consuming more, as thats what all these influencers are promoting because thats hoe they get views and money!! But you need to understand that , just consuming amd not implementing is nothing but just a form of knowledge consumerism!!! You are not taking any Action but just convincing your brain that I have consumed the information and that means i have done good work!! Your brain will just keep consuming more n more even though its good content but its of no use as there is no action taken! So solution is just consume only one video regarding a particular topic amd dont see multiple videos regarding same topic!

Unfortunately my screen time was more than 6 hours during the weekend 😔 but using your method I will strive to reduce it to 4 hours during weekends and 2 hours during weekdays 😊 I am out of SM except for Whatsapp and Snapchat which are less distracting.
