Phone not detected in laptop PC | Phone not recognized

Video shows the steps to solve the phone not detected issue. Sometimes even if the phone is connected through file browse mode, the phone is not shown. This video explains the steps to get the driver settings right.

I tried doing this, but my phone doesn't even get recognized under portable devices. It makes a sound when the lightning cable is connected and charges the phone, just doesn't detect it at all on itunes/my computer etc. I tried a different cable,usb port, reset network settings and hard reset the iphone, still nothing. any tips?

XxWTG456xX What to Do if Your Mobile phone not showing ur storage in PC. Although u have tried all methods but u failed. Methods are given below. 1. Update ur all usb driver through device manager 2. Going to the developer option and tried usb dignostic method... Why these above method failed... REASON = Because Your usb cable is not same company of your Mobile phone. If you use same company usb cable of your mobile phone your problem will be solved

there isn't even a portable devices option in the device manager even though my phone is plugged in, I tried all my ports, my phone will connect to my laptop but not to my pc, but my pc can detect USB drives but not phone, i hate this

i tried it and it didnt work. so the next thing i did was to check if my sisters laptop could recognize it, and it did. i went to restart my laptop and turns out i had to update windows. the laptop recognized my phone just fine after the update.
