I have a Canon 700d and the kit lens. I'm saving up to buy a 50mm lens. I use a Samsung Aseries phone and the camera quality is good. It records in 1080p too so I guess I'm good to go. I will be doing sitdown vlogs, travel and lifestyle content. My camera and phone will suffice for both types of content. Camera for KZbin and phone for ig.

How well does it work? I wish this video came out before I upgraded my phone. I upgraded last month from an 8+ to a12pro. The quality is amazing for pictures and videos too with natural light. But something is just off with external lighting (2 softboxes and ring light)alone. A camera would’ve been a better option since I’m indoors 99% of the time. Yes I agree mini lifestyle blogs do great on phone. I’ll just learn how to maximize what I have the best way I can while I save up for the camera because at some point my brand will need that camera.

I shoot with just my iphone12 pro max and 1 ring light and its not bad at all. I dont even have soft boxes yet. Might be your light angle, try different angles

There is no one answer that fits all. I got a canon m50 and I feel I should have upgraded my phone. One major reason is filming with a phone is just easier. I don't know most of the camera settings and all but a phone is just auto-set, plus I am always with it so I can take great pictures outdoor

@@ib6548 I’m actually learning more and enjoying my phone now. I can record and edit on the go. So it makes it a lot easier not to have to deal with camera setup, se card and laptop. But I’ll say give it more time to learn how to make it work for you. You should figure it out soon
