I listened to Phosphorescent incessantly during my formative years. The melodies from songs such as this are almost constantly running through my head, and it's not an exaggeration to say that they are imprinted on my psyche.

I got to know about this song thanks to my over many years elaborated musical taste and the highly appreciated Apple Music song suggestion algorithm (based on my listening habits). Being a non-native speaker of English I'm able to completely blank out any of the lyrics and let the music speak for herself in my mind so to speak. What a combination of a magic melody, rhythm and instrumentation. The result is a archaic yet not out-of-date sound. The atmosphere created is intimate however not reduced to one or two people but rather intimate within a group of people. The voice provides both: a lament and a relief/constructive solution. Having read now the lyrics, having seen the video I'm grateful for the work of art I was privileged to enjoy. Yeah, it's a pity that there are not more views (~ 58,000 after 12 years as of today- there are literally farts which have more clicks). This does not take away a single bit of the timeless beauty. Quite often above-average songs get not at all a similar attention than mainstream material which is ironic (- don't you think?). Still let me assure: This song will outlast many heavy rotation songs simply because its high quality. All the best to anyone involved in the creation and to the listeners, too.
