Hipstamatic is the coolest. I have had Hipstamatic since 2009 as well and own all the in apps (plus all of their old apps that have left the App Store). The developers are amazing and generous. Even the Hipstamatic x app is nice. I shoot 95% of my phone photos on Hipstamatic. Closest thing to shooting slide film with a Holga and developing C-41.

I love phone photography. It is a mistake, perhaps, to think that they are not as relevant as a DSLR or a high-end compact. Professional photographers use smartphones when they need to. Tim Clinch has published superb iPhone shots in Black+White Photography magazine (which is worth a read Paul - so inspiring). He makes the important point that when photographing people a smartphone is less threatening and sometimes it is the way to go. I got the app, now to have some fun.
