A now good buddy, who I met through mutual friends, is a long time pro photographer. We were talking one day and I told him about how I was passionate about shooting film back in the day. He immediately offered to give me a Canon EOS 1 body that he had used to shoot multiple Olympic games, wars, and many other heavy subjects. I have shot a few rolls recently, but I will never equal, obviously, what this instrument has seen. I'm just glad, and proud, to have possession of it.

He was surfing up by the light house, and when he got out of the water he wasn't feeling good at all. His family has a history with heart problems, so a few of his friends started driving him to somewhere (i don't actually know where, but i'd assume either his house or South Hampton hospital) . Right as they were passing the Crows Nest, he had a heart attack. Rest in peace.
