Photographer refuses to send bride photos

Another story from a bride. This is why I always say to not take offers like this for your wedding… 😬 not having a contract in place, paying someone in things, or super discounted, typically means the person is not taking the job seriously. Please really think about it before you hire an acquaintance or family member to help with an important wedding role.

Best advice any bride can get…Pay a photographer! Friends, family, acquaintances that “say” they really love to take pictures and want to do your wedding for you, rarely do the amazing job they claim they can do & you’re lucky to ever see those photos. Been there, done that. It doesn’t save you anything.

Always use professionals, never friends or family. You can fire professionals but you're stuck with family.

I eloped... i gave my maid of honour my camera and asked her to record... i got the complete ceremony of my back nothing more. It's great. I still laugh about it. Especially because when we conclude she cuts off after we both turn around and smile... so there's that, i guess.

My uncle was my main photographer and his daughter, my cousin, was an assistant photographer we’ll say. My uncle gave me his photographs almost immediately (as immediately as a photographer could), and my cousin also took over a year of bugging her to give me even a CD of her photos. All kinda similar to my uncle’s. No one bailed in the middle of the wedding, though. Well, if you think “free” or “this is my wedding gift” is worth it, this is what you get sometimes. My uncle’s photos were awesome, at least.

There are no more photos- I don’t think more were ever taken, or Amelia made some sort of mistake and they were very poor quality or she deleted them by mistake.
