Joy, because I see all the beautyful places again I have been in the last years by myself and grief, because I was not able to visit Schottland this summer. Hopefully I am able to visit Schottland this autumn or Winter. Lewis and Harris was such a spectakular trip with majestic beaches and landscapes. The hole outer hebrides were so fantasic. I have just watched this from beginning to the end and have to lodge a serious complaint. This presentation and all of the previous presentations have caused me to suffer an addiction. An addiction that could only be helped by increasing the frequency of these videos. Loved all the different segments but really enjoyed the Special Feature this week. Some fantastic images! The segment on the old man of Storr, the tours on Lewis and Harris are on my bucket list. The tours segment with people sitting in front of a Peat fire is just magical! Loved every minute of it.

I stumbled upon your show by accident, as I browsed through YT looking for photography tips & tricks. And I'm so happy YT presented your channel to me... so far I binge-watched all of your episodes. This is so down-to-earth, so non-BS, and so professionally made, it's a shame it's not on 'normal' telly. A well-meant congratulations to the entire team ! Being totally addicted to digital myself, I do enjoy the topics about the use of 'plain' film cameras, and about how developing film works. Also, being an amateur photographer with enough passion & technical skills to think I'm sort of 'advanced' a bit, I still learn quite a few things watching all topics. Especially the topics about landscape and street photography - if you consider walking about in Venice 'street photography'. Well, Marcus, I've been there during the Carnivale, and I can really recommend it. It's so different from the Carnival that's celebrated in Northern Europe - much more serene ! And, well, sometimes a complete mass of people turns into a 'leading line' in a shot. As I do like hiking in the Austrian Alps, and in the Welsh Brecon Beacons, well, Skye simply makes me drool (so do the Hebrides). Not only for the terrific scenery, but also for the amazing quality of Skye made whisky :) - though that is really off-topic, sorry about that... Anyway, even the 'almost 8 year old' being taught about photography is something we all need once in a while: back to basics, understand what light/camera/lenses do - when ordered to do so by the photographer. Definitely looking to see Shianna (and Marcus's) pictures! Thanks for this show, gals & guys... you're so cool, serious if need be and subtly crazy if you can get away with it, this is pure fun to watch - as, I'm sure, it is to create the show ! You always manage to make things look so simple... and that is a true gift. Thanks ! I'm definitely gonna look into your webinars and/or photography classes/excursions (for the post-Corona period)- but meanwhile, looking out to see if in December Marcus & Ruth can make the impossible mission a possible one... shoothing the moon behind the lone tree. Let's hope the weather conditions co-operate. Keep up the amazing good work ! Greetings from Belgium Frank

I absolutely love this show, I can't understand why it hasn't been snapped up by prime time tv. Like many photographers, I spend hours trolling through KZbin and the Net for any relevant photography content. In my opinion, this show covers it all and has definitely inspired me to head North before the year is out and spend a few days in Scotland, with a particular focus, and a couple of extra days, photographing the wonder what is The Isle of Skye. Really looking forward to Octobers addition :)

Another marvelous show! I'm always torn between watching it as soon as it comes out and saving this pleasure for later, so that the required wait for the next episode seems a little less than forever... I really appreciate this format, especially for it's length (just perfect for me!), because it requires me to really settle down (trying to view it in several shorter segments just kills the clever concept - at least in my opinon)). Quite often I find, that a well matured scotch just really rounds off the enjoyment of the show. Thank you very much for the education as well as the grand entertainment!

In School's Out, the f/32 is in green because that is a Rokkor X MD lens mount system. Minolta had an existing lens mount that they could use for a Manual Exposure or Aperture Priority Exposure. Subsequently they wanted to implement Program Priority - that needed the user to put the mode dial on P and set the lens to the darkest f/no - the camera would then calculate what f/no it wanted to set and as you clicked the shutter, the camera would mechanically move the internal aperture lever from the darkest f/no towards the brighter it wanted to achieve. If the user does not set the lens f/no ring to the darkest available, P mode will still function but with a limited f/no range. The later lenses would have a locking tab to remind the user to do this but the earlier lenses would still work
