Hi Nick, my name is Miao, I am from northwest part of China, not far from Tibet. My hometown has such a different feeling than Guilin, where Guilin is south part of China. Anyway, I think my hometown and northwest part of China is worth check out(including Tibet), so if you ever wanna go to that part of China, let me know and I could be guide and translator for ya. Just found your channel and already loving it. Also, I now live in Philadelphia but gonna go back to China this summer. And I am a new starting photographer myself. Keep it up, love all your vids and works! Let me know if you have plans to go to China again! I'll be more than happy to help:)

Wow, amazing trip. You brought back some stunning images and stories, just beautiful captures! Those fireworks shots were ridiculous (in a good way)! And I agree with you about Trey's image, it's great and all, but yours is definitely more natural looking and tells your story wonderfully. Having traveled the world I also definitely agree about discovering happiness. It always amazes me when I see people like that who have (what we would consider) almost nothing, yet are happier than most people. Simplicity can be a wonderful thing, and you did a great job conveying it through your images.

Great video Nick. I have been to Guilin, but never went on a purely photographic trip, more of a sightseeing thing. However, I did manage to hire a boat and a cormorant fisherman, very early one morning, to get some of the classics. It's an amazing place and my next trip will be with Guilin Photography Tours. Thanks again for a great video. Del

After graduating from New York University in 1989, my first job was teaching English in this beautiful sleepy little town. Hi Nick, I am from Singapore speak Chinese so I am used to travel china and been to gulin a couple of time 10 years back. I shot the commorant fishermen few times but I did not get to shoot the top view landscape of Cuiping village padi field that is your favourite photo. i agreed that your shot is more natural then the Trey as it is different approach to doing for advertisement. I am going there again next month so I like to know whether your panorama shot taken in Portrait or landscape images before stitching ? what is the best for this village padi field .
