What a fantastic collection of clips and images. I like how you let the video speak for itself (that doesn’t mean I don’t like your regular videos where you talk). I’m glad you got to fulfil a dream.

Thanks Billy. Great to hear you liked the non-verbal format of this video. To be honest, I wanted to concentrate on the photography while I was there rather than creating a blog. So filming some b-roll and putting it together with the still images seemed a good way to produce something I could share on the channel. 👍

Wow this is fantastic. Having watched your videos for the past few years I get a feel for your personality and approach to photography and this is such a great way to show your hard work, passion and years of graft paying off, by letting your photography speak for itself. Really enjoyed that and I will be watching it again! Congrats on 300 blog posts mate!

@@jbairdexp Haha.... I guess your chat ain’t bad mate. I visited Iceland in 2008 before I was into photography. Would be awesome to return some day and shoot out there. Be interested to hear how people react to this video / presentation. I’m sure there will be a lot of positivity towards it

@@andrewlunn Yes, people have been very positive about it. :-) I did try it before a while back but it didn't do too well. It was 7 individual episodes, but I also consolidated it down to one video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKaYn4uqfq-pbtE

Hey Julian. I want to thank you for such a thoughtful video and photos. I am going to Iceland at the end of this coming August, and I appreciate that you included video first, and then photos of each location. I love your long exposures because they simplify the compositions. You have given me new ideas of how to approach my upcoming trip. I hope to be as lucky as you with the weather! LOL!

@@jbairdexp Hi again. I am certain I will love it based on the images I have seen online, including yours. I am a die hard and will stick it out at a place if it looks like it will possibly clear up. I remember shooting in Kauai in a torrential downpour under an umbrella! I got some great shots I converted to black and white. Keep up the excellent work, Julian!

When I saw this episode title, I smiled, that you went to Iceland. I had never known you to post an International adventure before. Beautiful. Beautifully created. Images and video with impact and emotion. The music throughout fully completed what I was seeing and what I felt. Immersive in every way. Did I mentioned that I really like this video? Well, did. Hi Julian: What a wonderful video! I have been to Iceland back in 2011. It was amazing and just before the time that it became really popular for photographers. We had planned on going back this June but Covid-19 restrictions were still weighing in on our decision when we had to write the cheque. Any plans to run a workshop in the future? Maybe you can get Chris away from his beloved Lake Districts for a few days. If so, keep me in mind. Keep well. Cheers, Keith

Thanks Keith, glad you liked it so much! 😀 There aren't any plans for me and Chris to run workshops, but you'll know about it if we do!! 😎
