I simply never had a good chance to share these with you and so now after some time this folder of photographs that are on the brink of being forgotten finally gets it's time to shine - I want to share these photos with you and chat about them in this video :)

I like how your videos slow me down in my fast-paced life and make me more present. The photos make me wanna live in them.

I love what a "thinking" photographer you are. I have watched many of your videos and I am always struck by how the feel part of you "shoots" the image and the analytical part of your brain "analysis" the image . It is a perfect combination of the feel part and the thinking part of an artist.

I started my photography learning and fun in 1960... I was ten years old. Talk about forgotten rolls of film... I found five rolls in my parents closet that were exposed in about '65. Though the prints did not look very good, they were a blast to see. My sister and several of her friends. My little brother.in several frames. Some were so bad we could not tell what or who was there. Still, it was almost like time travel...pictures from the past. Your video was great! Much better than what I had and your commentary was fun to listen to. I'll be looking for more of your work!

Great video. I liked the photos of the man looking left, the closeup of the water with rocks and reflection of trees, and your final self-portrait.

Sweet video Teo! The great thing about photographs is the ability to capture those moments, the ability to look back at them and remembering the experiences of those events!

Great video! Would really like to see more like this to see "forgotten" images! Also, have you thought about maybe doing the opposite video, like showing photos you did not like or show your common errors and discuss them and how to accept and learn from it?

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!🤗 Ahh good idea, I'll see if I find them, because of course those get lost deep in that hole of forgotten photographs, seeing as I didn't like them haha :D

I like the slightly washed-out look of your under exposed expired film, it gives it a nostalgic look of photos from many years ago even though you know thats not the case.

Beautiful images as always Teo! I love the photo with the hot air balloon! I think the way the 35mm lens renders the balloon so small in the frame adds a sense of wonder to the image. Like the balloon is going off to the Land of Oz or something along those lines. I have some expired gold 200 that I've shot a couple rolls of and they always turn out super curly which makes them very hard to scan. I've tried all different methods of drying them and nothing has worked so far!

Aww thanks, glad you enjoyed this!🤗 Ahh I see, yeah hot air ballons in general are intriguing subjects I find🧐👏🏼 Ahh same! I always struggle with the scanning with those😅😅😅

Cool video and great photos!!! I love how sharp the images look!!! Specially the one with the hot air balloon in between the two power poles. How did you scan your negatives in order to look that sharp?

Aww thanks! Ohh you think? Hmm I just scan them with my mirrorless camera and a vintage macro lens🤔🙌🏼

Beautiful photos!! when travelling with film do you get the rolls hand checked or just pack them in your bag and risk the X-ray exposure?

6:39 --> The sky mirrors the street perfectly. This makes it very graphical and help separate the cyclist even further. I'm also drawn into the cycling path both through the road and the sky for the same reason. Although the sky isn't used as a leading line that often, in this case it funnels the eye effectively towards the same point as the cycling path.

love every video you've put out but I'd like to make one suggestion. Could you consider editing the high frequencies in your audio where there're a lot of ssss enunciations. maybe because im pretty sensitive to those higher frequencies but they makes it hard to focus on you talking (which i really love listening to). all the other production qualities are really top notch though. i hope you do this for a long time because i wont know where to get my inspiration from if you stopped xD
@teocrawford
@teocrawford 2 жыл бұрын
Ohh no, I'm sorry to read that! I actually always apply a De-Esser to the audio but I guess I need to increase the strength haha, thanks for pointing this out. I also can't stand it, when the highs are too loud, but mabye my headphones are covering that so that I hadn't noticed with my own audio😬 I'll do so!🙌🏼🙌🏼

Regarding the photograph you like at around 7:00, I think you might just like the strong off-centered one-point perspective.
