what is holder from buttom of camera to the phone holder? I cant find 1

What you really need as a beginner photographer: 1. sensor and lens cleaning pen, 2. zoom-in in your photos to see if its sharp or not, 3. understanding party - you will never be so fast with shooting every little weed flower(or basically when inspiration hits you), 4. tripod for fireworks, stars, group shots(if you want to be in there lol), 5. heated gloves will help a lot in a winter, 6. bag, or even protection into bag, (maybe best bag made specially for camera) for when you take your camera and place it there together with coca-cola, bread and your multitool, your camera or lens may not survive, 7. I use lens filter since I clean lens roughly and the lens may not survive long that way. Also I don't shoot a lot, but I look at battery % every time, so it stay ready, having empty battery at the start is hard beginning and its worse in a winter...

@halfmoon8285 Zoom in the camera, or the phone if your photos get sent straight to the phone, but I use flight mode to extend a battery life, tho.

I actually use a finger strap from Cosyspeed on my a6700 and put it into my sling bag (Osprey Daylite Sling). In case I want to shoot, I rotate the bag, pull the zipper, slide my index finger through the finger strap and grab my camera. The sling offers enough space to accomodate my money, phone and powerbank as well.

Thanks for this video! I just got an A7CR with your wombo combo. I shoot videos at conventions so battery life is definitely high on my list. I read everywhere that people are skeptical of using 3rd party batteries. Would love to have your thoughts on that.

Totally agree with you. I have a card reader that I connect to my phone and just copy the raw files I like and edit them on lightroom mobile in the taxi on my way back.

I usually copy over all the HEIF files and only get the Raws if I have a picture that I like and that needs more work. On some days K have 500-1000 pictures and all these raw files would easily eat up the space on my phone.

The USB C built into the battery has made me forget the short battery life in my a6400. I got 2 of the smallrig ones and a usb c powerbank. They work great and charge quickly. Bonus points for being very affordable as well.

For the camera strap, get the ulanzi f38 shoulder mount. You use your peak design anchors and attach them to the plate. And your camera goes into the mount with a baseplate. It’s quick release so you can take it off and put it back on very quickly. You won’t have to pull out each anchor and leave and dangling neck strap, also your camera won’t have the annoying anchors on it

As to your item Number 3. Instead of a portable SD card reader, I use Capture One on my iPad. I connect the camera, import the photos I need, work on them, et voila! Done!

the sony creators app didnt work in iphone 15 pro max and ZVE1. So i connect the camera via USB C direct to the phone and transfer the photos to the phone super fast.

I do need a portable ssd drive. I have recently bought two new Android Samsung phones. And i have put two 512GB SD Card inside both of them. One for normal phone calls everyday use and the other for my photography so i can use it more like a tablet

Using the hub as a transfer station sounds like a great idea - I even purchased one via your link. But when I got everything connected, the phone could only detect one source at the time. Either the card reader or the SSD, not both, so I must first copy the photos to my phone first before moving them over to the ssd, which defeats the purpose of using a hub in the first place. Any tips?

Are the new iPhones reliable and stable enough to facilitate such big transfers? Was trying this out on my iPad Pro a year or two ago, and it's been clunky and unreliable, but have been trying to find a way to get rid of the laptop when travelling just to back up my stuff. 🌝

How strong/reliable is the VRIG? Is magsafe enough to ensure the iphone stays in place and not fall off? Also, recommendation onw how to stream what you see on the camera onto the phone?

The magsafe on the VRIG is just about as good as any magsafe accessory for iPhones. That said... it can be knocked off if you bump into it with a good amount of force. I would suggest adding tether if you want the extra peace of mind!

I'm seeing mixed reviews. Some say they work well, and others say just stick with SanDisk. I didn't get one to try myself, but I am running some Kingston canvas cards which are working well.
