Can't agree me about carrying a camera with you. Some of my favorite shots I would have missed if I wasn't carrying my camera on me everywhere I go

These are all extremely great tips! The one that I didn’t think about that has kinda stuck with me is spending money on travel instead of gear. That’s a really great concept and something I’m now planning on applying to my photography this year. Thank you Eddy! 🤘🏼

No problem! It’s a hard one to follow, new gear is so tempting 😄 thank you so much for watching and dropping a comment! Have a great day

Best ever video I’ve seen resuming the essence of what should be the photography journey… pragmatic, simple language, no show off… can really see that these “lessons” came from experience and not one more copy of another video… I can’t be more in agree to all the 10 “lessons”! I totally feel the same! All the best mate!

Love this one, Eddy. Honestly, mate, you are the one photo KZbinr I'm genuinely inspired by. Forget McKinnon, Popsys and all the rest. Your down to earth nature, lack of ego and casual confidence in yourself and your work makes me wonder why you don't have more subs. But I'm really pleased to be along with you at the relative start of your journey on this platform. On top of that, your images really speak to me. I always end up pausing the video on most of your frames because a lot of your work brings me into the moment, you capture the energy and atmosphere so well. This is something I always strive to bring to my work. I'm a professional but most people can do pretty photos, it's very difficult to capture images that breathe life into those moments. So much better than the Insta-friendly counterparts that you see on these social channels that are so good at copying everyone else, not only in terms of style but also in how their influencing business works. But you bring something truly unique and all I can do is comment, like and watch you content to support you but I'd genuinely pay good money for your time and to come follow you round on a shoot or workshop with you because you bring ideas that I don't see anywhere else and if those opportunities don't arise, all I can do is say thanks, brother, for your time, energy and effort, long may it continue.

Ahh mate this means so much to me, thank you so much. Im hoping to do more videos in the future based on teaching photography techniques, and also some behind the scenes stuff when im on photography jobs, but im trying to build a bit more of an audience first which is why im doing general advice videos and more gear based content for now. But as soon as i feel like i have enough people interested in what im doing, im hoping to make more 'workshop' style content :) Again, thank you for this, it inspires me to keep on creating.

I really like your video here. I think everything you have discussed is valid. Please play back at 0.75x speed and find that you may be talking a little to fast for those that may not have English as their first language. You have so many valid points. Thankyou.

Thank you! I do actually try to slow down already for KZbin, my native accent is a lot faster spoken 😂 but will consider this for future videos, thank you for checking out the video regardless, and for your kind words 😌

As a very amateur photographer from Newcastle, I couldn’t agree with your points anymore! Especially comparing yourself. Great video, they’re getting better with each one.

Some solid advice here. I would preface this by saying that to excel at any craft, photography or otherwise, exercise is crucial for sure… but it’s equally important to have a sensible approach and recognise when you need to take a break and step back. Burnout can really kill the creative urge. I’m currently going through this myself. There will always be another gig or another band to capture, so don’t sweat it.

The idea of friction between seei g and shooting told ar 3:50 isn’t really what I agree on. Take old ambrotypenplate cameras or large format or even the slower digital medium format cameras. I couldn’t have taken images with my hasselblad digital X series camera in another way. In that sense this answer is unique.
