Photography Tips | Better Landscapes

Now I finally understand why the Linn Cove Viaduct ( Blue Ridge Parkway in NC) photos are beautiful. The bridge itself is the subject. I was just there a couple of days ago and took that iconic capture that you see on posters, facebook ads, and all those other adverts. Great video!

Composition. Every picture tells a story. Great song by Rod the Mod. But I keep thinking you should play the Ramones in the background. But You Tube rules......we can't have nice things. But very timely and great points!

It's also interesting how subjective composition is as well. For instance, I don't love the one with the camper off to the right. For me, it's too close to the edge for that type of image, that to me should made me feel at peace. The placement of the camper at the edge creates visual tension to me that takes me out of that feeling. However, I REALLY love the shot with the camper in the center of the shot with the reflection on the water. Also, the shot with the people on the dock is pretty spectacular to me.

That's funny, I love that one with the camper all the way off to the right.. I guess that's the cool thing about art everybody feels a little bit differently when they see it.

@@BillEricPhotography LOL. That's why I made sure to make sure I stated "for me". From a technical standpoint I think it's a very good picture. But at the end of the day, art is about individual feeling. And that is unpredictable. 😊

It’s easy to take a picture….. difficult to create a photograph. Ive probably shot 1000 images this fall. Ill maybe end up with 30-50 keepers. On my way to the mountains now to shoot a “few” more.
