Hey Joseph! I know I've said this before, but I'm going to say it again. You are a great presenter. You speak clearly, smoothly and with confidence. I don't own this device yet, but I do enjoy the way you present products. This is a very informative, full featured demo. Just like your GH5 training videos (which have been awesome and helpful), this is very easy to watch and follow along. As always, thank you for the well produced content! This device looks to be a nearly perfect, full feature, mid-range budget (>$5000) streaming device. The File size limit may be due to the way the SD card is formatted. FAT32 has a file size limit of 4GB.

@PhotoJospeph: Nice video! Some answers to your questions/problems: 3,5GB limitation seems to be a FAT32 file system limitation on the SD Card, with ExFat this should not be necessary. And the Blackmagic and Atomos recorders HDMI not working with it, seems likely to be caused by the fact that those devices dont just use the normal HDMI specs, but use their proprietary data encoding (they could not support RAW video formats from camera to video monitor/recorder; Also the reason Sony/Panasonic/Etc. and Atomos/Blackmagic need to manually support each new device for them to work together). A TV/PC monitor just uses the normal HDMI specs and data stream encoding.
@photojoseph3 жыл бұрын
That makes a whole lot of sense!!

@@photojoseph I would need to add that i am not 100% sure, as i dont have the devices in question to confirm this myself, so dont quote me on that alone ;) But as far as i can tell without testing it myself, both theories seem very likely. I've been watching various videos on this device ranging from being released only a month ago to a year ago and it's amazing how quickly the videos get outdated because of how many updates yolobox does for the device. Just a year ago, I think they were on version 1 of the software and now they are at version 3.something. It's not that often you see a KZbin creator say "they should add...." 10 months ago and watch a video that's only a month old and that feature has been added. It's refreshing seeing a company actually listen to their customer base and quickly add requests features to their product.

Amazing class…thank you so much. I have a question for you. I am working currently with a small budget and I am hesitating between Yolo an ATEM. I want to be able to stream on Mixcloud as Dj and make a live show. I want to be able to stream there with no issues and create on the spot something interesting and dynamic. I want to be able to record and stream. I have DSLR camera Canon and Webcam. I am a MAC user. To stream directly my Dj performance with these two camera device on Mixcloud which one is the best tool for me? Keep in mind that I must blug my mixer directly so that people could here my performance. (Sound) btw I am insisting on streaming only on Mixcloud because the pay all royalties to the artists. It is less hassle for me and I dislike the other platforms. Do you have any suggestions…please
@photojoseph3 жыл бұрын
Well, the webcam ties you to the yolobox as there’s no way to connect a webcam to the ATEM. I would have said ATEM wins for audio, however Yolo added an audio mixer in December that I haven’t played with yet. So it might be just as good. The Yolo is probably the better choice because of its portability. You need the Pro for the advanced audio features and line-level input. Those are my thoughts. FYI if you join the channel as a member you will have access to a private Discord server which could be a good place to ask questions and discuss this with others, and of course you’ll be helping support the channel! Was your SD card formatted in fat32? If so, that would be the reason for the video record limit. I've run into that problem even just loading files onto a card or thumb drive. I had to reformat to exfat to get the card (or drive) to even accept the file...
@photojoseph2 жыл бұрын
Yolo said it was an Android limitation, so… 🤷
@lightningboltz3332 жыл бұрын
@@photojoseph The 4gb limit with fat32 is tied to the number limitations within a 32bit OS and everything therein. Android as an OS BEGAN 64bit compatibility back in 2011 with Android 5.0. In 2019 in fact Google began a REQUIREMENT that all apps on their play store be compatible with 64bit cpu's. As such, while fat32 is specifically a format designed for a 32bit OS, the limitation is in the fat32 format and not in Android as an operating system. Yolo does actually list "continuous recording" as one of the things they're working on bringing. If the OS itself could not support it, they wouldn't bother working on it. I think someone over there might have just given you an excuse to try to pacify you for the moment... hopefully that improvement will come sooner rather than later. : )

Very interesting video for me that I'm new in this universe. I have a yolobox pro and if I want to add a guest to a live streaming show, the only way is to plug my computer as an input on the yolobox and use something like Restream or Stremyard or Zoom ? Maybe it's a strange question but as I mentionned, I'm new to this world. I have a Shogun 7 too but the problem seems to be the same if I want to had a guest.
@photojoseph3 жыл бұрын
That's a huge question… how is the guest coming in? Remote or in the same room? What platform or does it not matter? There's a lot of ways and none are easy. Watch this video I did a while ago which is about this exact topic, although it's around the ATEM mini - however, most of those lessons can be applied here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2OyaY2gf8mDiMU

@@photojoseph Thank's for this reference. I think my best way is to plug the computer as a hdmi input and make it a two screen monitor as you teach on your video. Maybe with Restream or even Zoom, I'll be able to have a good synchronisation. Audio is on a Rode Rodecaster pro so it could probably be set as an audio source on Zoom or Restream the same way your Atem is. Do you think that Yolobox will add this feature on their firmware soon ? They could ask an association with a provider like Zoom or Restream, I think that is the thing missing on this machine, it could be added as a video source, just entering the login infos of my Zoom account and Zoom display is appearing as a duplicate display of the zoom conversation. I have so much to learn... thanks again for your videos, easy to watch and very straight to the point.

Hello, Joseph. Three questions on Yolo. 1. If I scheduled some translations in KZbin studio, can I see that list of scheduled translations on Yolo so I can choose the translation that I want to start right now? 2. Is the a possibility to make an instant replay, as in OBS? For example, a goal in football game. 3. Is there a possibility to reconstruct the score table for another sports, like volleyball, tennis and so on? Thanks in advance! And thank you very much for the great video!

Thanks for the review of an interesting gadget. Is it possible to get around the problem of limiting 6 video sources? If I connect 3 cameras, then only 3 sources remain for additional angles and video materials. This is not enough. Is there any solution?

Great Product there, I will buy this, the moment we can input powerpoint inside the show. With animation instead of pdf. Also the green screen can it be a loop animation?

I wouldn’t expect native PowerPoint support; can a PowerPoint player run on Android? Connect a laptop or computer playing PowerPoint as one of the inputs. And I think you can key off a video playing from the SD but I haven’t tried!

Great video Joseph, One check.. If you have say 3 camera's 3x sony rx100 m4) and 1 webcam (logitech) and a Tascam Mixcast, I would think it it need to set a delay on video and also on audio. Is this feature currently present or @Yololiv will this feature be added soon?
@photojoseph3 жыл бұрын
As you saw, audio support is VERY basic now, but I expect that delay will be in the new audio mixer they are working on.
@jrhelmus3 жыл бұрын
@@photojoseph and how about the combination of the webcam with normal camera's. If the USB cam is out of sync with the other cams it would be kind of useless or you have to edit in post.
@photojoseph3 жыл бұрын
@@jrhelmus yeah delaying video isn’t something I’ve seen in ANY system. If you add a webcam it should be for a shot that doesn’t need to be in sync, meaning a shot where you can’t see mouths moving.

Hello, a question I am doing my first tests with my two cameras and my Yolobox Pro and when I record I feel that there is a small margin where the image does not match the voice. I have already done several tests and if it is the same problem It is like half a second of difference between the image and the voice. Do you know how this detail could be solved? I will thank her.

Is your audio coming through the camera, or directly into the yolobox?

Ok Mr. Joseph if you haven't already done so, you have to show us how you did that little bit of movie magic with the future PhotoJoseph pausing the video! That was amazing!!😀😀

@photojoseph Жыл бұрын
Webcams are really low end cameras over USB, which eliminate the need for a video interface, so these switchers aren’t designed to use them - they’re made for HDMI cameras. That said, the YoloBox does have a USB port that can support a single webcam. But no - no one makes a switchers that’s all USB. As for your Blue Yeti microphone; if that’s USB, then same thing. USB mics are made to eliminate the need for an audio interface, but now you’re trying to plug it into an audio interface.

If one of the cameras attaced to the yolobox pro is not balanced properly. IE the horison is wrong. Could you fix it in the box or do you need balance the camera it self.

There is no crop and straighten feature in the software. That would mean punching into the shot, degrading the quality of the image. Straighten the camera 😉

Very thorough video, much appreciated!!! I want to IRL stream via multiple cameras from a motorcycle over multiple modems (round Robin). Can this device do SRT out? I’ve looked at other solutions but the most cost effective (with lowest ongoing costs) would be for me to write my own SRT bonder (via laptop or jetson nano) and send to OBS on my home PC. This device seems to do everything I need apart from provide bondage.
@photojoseph3 жыл бұрын
Oh I see you’ve already seen the one! Wow that’s quite the challenge. Separate the challenges. There are multiple cumulative bonding solutions on the market. Teradek is the best known. You can feed a single HDMI camera or a switcher (ATEM, Yolo, whatever) into the Teradek. I wouldn’t rely on streaming home then restreamjng from there. Too many points of failure. If you need multiple destinations, stream to a service like restream.io and let them distribute. Keep your bandwidth requirements on the go as low as possible.
@batmanonabike31193 жыл бұрын
@@photojoseph ty 👍 I did try getting obs on jetson nano (lightweight, low powered Linux box) so i could feed two cameras on the go. But I had to recompile obs for arm64 with limited success (problematic SRT/nvidia hardware encoding). I found that h265 over SRT (better compression and UDP being a big win) is much better than RTMP over Tcp (for bad network conditions). LiveU expensive (doable) but also an going cost of subscription. They only permit IP bonding via multiple modems through a subscription. Home streaming eliminates ongoing subscription (if I wrote my own bonder) and, though I take your point onboard, my home internet is stable and I can show ‘reconnecting video’ in OBS server side if I lose the motorcycle stream. So many options! but it’s tough to stream at speed (tried 4 modems and speedify with limited results last year). Teradek sounds interesting, will review it next. Appreciate your expertise and you taking the time 👍👍👍
