Loving the longer, slower tutorials that Abbey and Redouane are releasing, very informative and easy to follow along and also with the stocks from neostock, this channel has quickly become the complete package

I greatly enjoy learning from you. I do have an art/painting background but coming from old school to digital has been rough for me. What I rely on doesn't transfer. I have paid for classes, tutorials, and one on one classes but have learned more from you and PM here. I have purchased your classes and am working my way through them. I appreciate videos like this also because I haven't gotten to your slime tutorials yet but have work to do. I wasn't pleased with how my blood is looking and now I can't wait to recreate it! Can't thank you and everyone enough for being honest and giving full disclosure so learning can be done.

Awesome video Abbey, I really struggled with the blood for an image I did a few months about, now I am keen to go back and try again after watching your video. Your blood looks so real it totally tripped me out when I watched how you did it. Great work.

Hi, Thanks for the great content you made, I wish you all the best. I have a small question though. when I try to color pick from the provided psb file from your website, the colors are different when I try to apply them in another PSD or psb file. why is that?

I'm curious if you would approach her upper teeth in a different way from her skin, or would you treat it all the same?
@TheSecondOne1232 жыл бұрын
It would be the same, but that area defiantly would need a bit more love/patience. A bit of trial and error with both colors and layer modes. The bright red might work best on the teeth, so that's a good example of their being no set rules. I also think an Overlay layer, like the Extra layer in the video, would work well on the teeth. Maybe make the main base an overlay layer, then thicken any areas with either a Normal or Multiply layer. I'd definitely create a new set of layers just for the teeth since they'd be a similar but different process. I should have mentioned that in the video, actually. When painting blood on a distinctly different surface, create a new set of layers and group them accordingly. But yes, all in all, it would be the same technique, but slightly different combinations to adjust for the area.
@TheSecondOne1232 жыл бұрын
This may be awkward to look for, but I'd definitely try to find a few images of bloody mouths haha. The way blood shows and flows on teeth is likely a lot different than skin, mostly due to it being in a high movement area. So it'd be much more smudged, thin and agitated. Replicating that would be the key in it looking good.

@@TheSecondOne123 Thank you for answering my question. I set myself to ask a question on each video I see so I am forced to pay attention to all of it. I have some plans for your technique for a model friend of mine, she has some great vampire photos. I will definitely look at examples (and know, that's not awkward, if it's good enough for DaVinci, grave robbing is good enough for me) (kidding, just kidding) of it done as your video states and play around with the technique.

Who gets an error when trying to import brushes, this is due to the folder name being too long. Move the brushes to another location or rename to a short name

I've struggled with creating blood on pretty much every single image I've used it in, so this tutorial is absolutely magical for me. There's tips and tricks in here I never would have thought of, and the level of dedication you have to the finer details is equally astounding as it is inspirational. Thank you, Abbey! 🩸

Noob question: I downloaded the brushes, but it seems that they're only round, and don't have that "wavy" aspect as depicted in the brush menu, that has both round and wavy. What is wrong with my settings?

Hey, I tried to add the brushes to my photoshop but i get an error message that says i can't load the brushes because the file is not compatible with my version of photoshop. Is there something I can do?
@TheSecondOne123 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, if that is the issue, then I don't think so! They may be using settings that are (somewhat) new. Especially if you're using CS6 or below. I will say if you look at the brushes, they are easy to recreate! They are just different versions of the default brush.
