WTF how come this video doesn't have like 1 mi likes? It's not just what you teach but the way you show how to do things, not everybody knows how to teach stuff in a didatic way. As a begginer in Blender, I'm very grateful for this channel

Fantastic modeling tutorial. Not too hard to follow, has a complex shape with complex parts, good audio and explanation of your actions, and screencast keys as a bonus. 9/10 tutorial (-1 because it felt like you were more interested in getting the tutorial over with rather than teaching, made it feel more like a "walkthrough").

Thanks for this great tutorial !! I want to use Blender to design a desk/workplace including all inside things to build, which this tutorial definitely showed me its possible and possible ways of how to do. Only thing I missed, only watched it once, so might have really missed this part, is how to implement real life measurements into the design. Need to watch way more tutorials, so if not in this one, it might be shown in another anyways. Again, many thanks for this VERY clear tutorial!!! _O_

It is way faster to do the modelling using a single vertex that you extrude to follow the outline of the object then add a sew modifier to it . Just make sure Angle is set to 360 and Screw is set to 0 and iterations is set to 1 and Axis is set to Z. Its the default settings so don't change them and you're good. You actually speed up the work by like 70% just by using this method. And its also great since you have "Steps" that you can increase/decrease at any time to change the amount of vertices in your mesh. So you can make it low poly or high-poly just by increasing/decreasing the steps

Yep, that would work too.

im having trouble with the emmision its not glowing like yours any suggestions? Great tutorial none the less
@RyanKingArt
@RyanKingArt 3 жыл бұрын
Hmm, are you using Blender Eevee? The emmision material won't actually emit light in Eevee. So if your doing this in Eevee, just add a Point light, and place it inside the lamp.

Can you tell me, How to create a light blue rays. Like in real life when we wear glasses, we can see some rays outside the light. I want the same effect in blender rendered view. Hope you understand me. ❤

Any advice on using this to light a night time living room scene? It's not bright enough as it is but increasing the bulb emission strength increases noise more than brightness.

I would add a different light, like maybe a point light, above or around the lamp, to make it look like the light is coming from the lamp.
