I use an ATM late at night/in the early morning. The difference is, I live in a pretty safe city and the ATM I use is by a road the cops often drive past at late hours. Nobody would risk trying to rob someone there, they could easily get caught in the act.

I came within an inch of my life from falling ice once. Coincidentally I’m also Canadian lol. I was on a ghost tour in Quebec City, and I was at the very back of the group. The tour guide led us down this narrow alleyway next to a tall church. As we were walking, what must have been a five pound chunk of ice slid off the church’s steeple and fell three stories above where I was situated. It barely missed my head by a second while I was mid-stride, grazed my tailbone on its way down, and then smashed into a billion pieces on the cobblestone behind me. It made this massive noise when it cracked that echoed off of the walls. We all nervously laughed it off and I had a massive purple bruise on my ass for two weeks afterwards. I honestly think that’s the closest I’ve come to dying so far. Thank god no one was behind me. Almost became a new section of the tour 💀.
