Very helpful! Now i just need to watch it a few more times... Video going straight to the basic brushes is what i need, and you also showing how to adjust the basic brushes to change them has already advanced alot of beginners.... most videos on youtube show a specific type of brush and not show why they chose brush and then show a link so you have to buy the specific brush without knowing why or how they use brush.... for the past few days ive been searching for a way or a brush to create a vast landscape going into the distance, so a textured brush or method is what I wanted to create, a believeable yet quick foliage look or texture and you also show the brush dynamics which i never knew about and was too afraid to touch so youve also taught us how to create our own brushes... the video was quick and concise.... perfect! Also wish you did a more in depth or slower additional video explaining the brush menu.... ive only ever used the basic brushes in ps, ive downloaded a lot of brush sets but never really used or found them any better yet...
@SeSangART5 жыл бұрын
I'm glad this tutorial helped you! I made another tutorial on the brushes I use in Photoshop. You can find them under my basic ps tutorial play list... I use only a few brushes tbh...and most of them are basic brushes..if I needed any special brush, I make them myself..but till date I think, I made only a handful of brushes... Well I'm lazy..so I prefer to hone my skills so that I can use basic tools to draw whatever I like rather than getting loads of stuff...brushes in this case...only things I like to download are fonts...and if I got a commission and my clients want something done quickly in a specific manner, only then I go for other resources (and if it's a matte painting). So don't worry about loads of brushes. First thing to do is to find your flow with a specific set of basic brushes. Once you have done that, you can use other stuff on top of basic drawing and can have limitless combination. All the best!

@@SeSangART Yes this! ive been using photoshop for years now but not as a paint or art program but as a tool to manipulate images or to add finishing touches to images for other programs, like resizing, cropping or changing the colour.... its only recently because im trying to maneuvre into a different industry that i've realised how powerful and versatile photoshop is as a paint program, before, I just used to draw and paint everything by hand on paper.... Ive never even touched the brush tool before, and searching videos have opened up so many creative possibilities.... and its because over the years, you encounter free brush packs that have been made available and that i've never really valued or understood because ive never had to use it... and because brush packs come with about 20 odd brushes, because you dont understand the power or versatility of photoshop you wouldnt know how to use all the brushes... I am trying to make my art a part of my career so recently its all about creating something like I would on paper but iterating it in photoshop but quickly.... stuff that i used to not even think about i did on paper i now have to plan ahead if i want to do it on photoshop like the type of brush and effect i want to create.... and your vid cut through all the advanced stuff that a beginner or even a pro didnt need or hit most of the beginner stuff i was looking for.... so thank you! lol do you have a matte painting video explaining what a matte painting is?
@SeSangART5 жыл бұрын
@@antwango ah! Thanks for the praise..and no, I did not make a video for YT on matte painting as it takes a lot of time. But I used texture on one of my speed painting video named " photoshop painting process: Tolkien inspired fantasy themed digital art with steps explanation". There I showed how you can easily achieve better results using textures as resources. As for matte painting, it is mostly used to create realistic scenesenvironment where it is difficult to take just a photo or video...I basically do fantasy or sci-fi scenes...

So if I want to use this texture in a environment prop do I have to bake the texture with a.o. maps so tht I can get good results right ??? Or do I have to do tht in painter on separate layers ?
@SeSangART4 жыл бұрын
I'm not huge on 3D ...so I can't tell you if you should bake it with a.o or not. Whenever needed to create texture for 3D objects, I personally used UV maps. I extracted the UV maps then painted texture on them using Photoshop. A.O maps already have lighting details attached to it. I preferred painting texture in neutral light (as in mid-tone colour scheme)..and add separate lighting within the 3D environment. But I think you can always experiment and ask someone who's good with 3D. In case of layers, when you're painting you can always use layers but when you're exporting the texture it needs to be flattened. Unless you want to texture the 3D object in layers. That's my opinion. Better ask a 3D artist/3D painter...

what's the requirement for this software? Whenever I click to paint there is buffering!! And if I hold mouse for 1 or 2 sec to paint and when I let go, there it paints moving around itself. My PC processor AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor 3.50 GHz, 8 GB Ram, 64-bit Operating System, Windows 7 Professional. What did I lack for these photoshop software to run smoothly?
@SeSangART7 жыл бұрын
Your requirement is similar to mine. I don't see why you should have problem like that. Did you install 64bit exe file for ps? do you have any other plug ins or downloaded font in your system? sometimes these stuff makes PS super slow. I really don't know why, but I think they conflict with PS system files. Also what's the size of the document you use? Good computers can take the load of a big sized document with high res..but even they fail sometimes depending on what you are adding to the document, ie the size of the components. In those cases PS can become slow...Truly there can be many reasons...you have to go with trial and error method to fix it. Here is a link I found (I didn't read it so I am not sure if it will address your issue but I found it on a similar issue discussion thread), see if it helps : blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2012/07/photoshop-basic-troubleshooting-steps-to-fix-most-issues.html

If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15 KJV Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: Exodus 20:8-9 KJV Saturday is the day of the Lord The claim that Christ by his death abolished his Father’s law, is without foundation. Had it been possible for the law to be changed or set aside, then Christ need not have died to save man from the penalty of sin. The death of Christ, so far from abolishing the law, proves that it is immutable. The Son of God came to “magnify the law, and make it honorable.” [Isaiah 42:21.] He said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law;” “till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in nowise pass from the law.” [Matthew 5:17, 18.] And concerning himself he declares, “I delight to do thy will, O my God; yea, thy law is within my heart.” [Psalm 40:8.] GC88 466.3 Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
