This is the best photography tutorial I have ever seen on KZbin and my count is upwards of 3150 videos. Your explanation and the graphic display of the whole process is simple as it should be, but at the same time you are light years ahead of any other KZbin photography broadcaster out there, and I do follow ALL of the very best. I just discovered your channel with this video, this is the first I’ve seen, but will surely follow you along from now onwards. Thank you and my sincere admiration for your craft.

I just watched couple other of your videos and I can see you are a real educator. Your use of visual aids is exactly as it should be, clearly showing step by step what needs to be done, and your language is precise to the last preposition or article. No words are waisted. Your script is designed to TEACH, and not to INFORM. Most KZbinrs are excellent photographers or expert software users but they tend to add too much info to their podcasts, which inevitably makes it very difficult, and for a few rather imposible, to follow. Your training sessions are of the highest value and well deserving of positive reviews. Well done!

Great tutorial. I have to do a lot more waterscaping than I care to think about and this isn't too far from my usual method. I do have some advice for sea water though. Being on the Atlantic coast, I do tend to slightly tint with a green-blue gradient and add some light noise before warping it for seascapes. Also, adding some small highlight spots to the wave edges really ups the realism if it's not overdone.

Hey Marty, I've been Subscribed to you for a while, and I must say your tutorials are great. However, I'm a photographer who has taken HUNDREDS of photographs of water reflections, at variable shutter speeds as well as several different distances from the water's edge. Immediately upon looking at the end result of this photo as seen in the beginning of the video, I could tell it was fake... Everything about that reflection is dang-near perfect along the distance edge. Without even watching this tutorial I can tell you took time to create necessary masks to ensure that edge wasn't a complete straight line. However, never in my life have I ever seen a reflection that looks the way it does in that end result when it comes to the areas in the water that are closer to the camera... I'm sure some tweaking here and there in other Filter effects could help with that. Just some feedback from a long-time Subscriber!! Thanks for taking the time to read this comment.

+Steven P The whole thing was far too complicated and lengthy for how it came about. You could make a better result from doing it by hand/eye after flipping the image.
