Actually there is one scenario where using an instructive prompt works really well. A lot times when leaving the prompt field blank to remove something, the AI filter will think it generated something inappropriate no matter how many times you generate. I tried entering "remove" and it works perfectly every time :)
@74luis Жыл бұрын
Sometimes it doesn't. When there are small things to remove you need to select a bigger area around the small object to remove it properly

Indeed, Generative Fill (GF) is a tool but not a one-click solution to creativity in Photoshop. It should aid our workflow and promote creativity, but it shouldn't replace our ability to think in using our tools in projecting the best visual presentation to our audience. Thanks Jesus Ramirez. I learnt here.

We always send people to this channel and Colin's channel when possible on the Adobe forums Jesus, and yes, I have seen Colin's GF videos. I always learn new things from this channel, and sometimes surprisingly basic things. Like I was not aware that we could right click directly on a path (with Pen tool selected) to open that menu. I use three big screens so I have most of the Photoshop panels in my workspace, and use the icons at the bottom of the Paths panel when possible.

So I select subject and then select the inverse. when I use generative fill to make a new background, it's messing with my ears, making them bigger, or spock like.
@seyyidyigit8303 Жыл бұрын
TL;DR: This video sponsored by MSI discusses mistakes to avoid when using the generator fill in Photoshop. It emphasizes the importance of selection shape when generating objects and suggests using a combination of prompts and selection shapes for desired results. Generating all objects at 100 intensity is discouraged, and using different intensities can lead to more realistic outcomes. The video also mentions the influence of adjustment layers on generated content and recommends placing them in a group or disabling them. Lastly, it advises against considering generator fill as a one-click solution and encourages combining it with traditional Photoshop tools for more powerful results. TL;DR: In the video, it is recommended to disable the generated layer, use the quick selection tool to select the top of the table, enable the generated layer again, delete the layer mask, and create a new mask from the selection. By adjusting the opacity, the intensity of the reflection can be controlled. If the reflection needs fixing, tools like the Clone Stamp tool can be used. The main point is that the generator fill is just one tool among many in Photoshop, and it provides creative flexibility beyond a one-click solution.

This ai is just good for people that don't have knowledge at PS
@shredd5705 Жыл бұрын
Yes. It devalues people who know PS. Amateur photo editors are suddenly masters. It devalues a skill. It affects job market already. Things will get worse because Adobe will not stop here. There will much more powerful AI features in next versions. To the point where anyone can do anything with PS. Why would you hire a pro, when anyone (with some visual taste) can do it? Visual taste is not that uncommon, most people can say what Midjourney image etc. looks good and what doesn't. The skill was in the making of it. Choosing the nicest pic is not hard. Midjourney has a daily top list of highest rated images, they are 95% gorgeous. Voted by regular people. You don't have to be an artist to know what looks good, once you see it. You need to be an artist to imagine and paint it, before you have seen it. But that part isn't needed anymore. AI imagines for us now. We just look and choose.

More friendly, but not particularly friendly. This has already devalued a lot of Photoshop skills, that people worked on for years. good video, Jesus. Adobe trained their model way too fast, and on too small a data training set. They're either going to have to retrain it and add a wider range of terms to the lables or they're going to need to train a new one. fully 85% of the issues we have with it are because of the training issues. The fact that if you make a typo the AI gives up and says what you typed wasn't in English is unacceptable as well.

Wow! You just demonstrated that AI won't take your jobs, as long as you are skilled, creative, adaptive to change and keep learning.
@MrJeanBombers Жыл бұрын
It's a politically correct viewpoint to say that "AI won't take your jobs". AI won't take ALL jobs, but it is already taking a considerable amount of jobs in the creative field - and more and more in the future as the technology increases.
@prateek4sep Жыл бұрын
I understand, but evolution of technology has always taken jobs, and though fewer, but created new jobs.
@shredd5705 Жыл бұрын
@@MrJeanBombers The way he has to emphasize "It won't take our jobs" is pretty telling in itself.... I understand that creatives are trying to cope hard. What else could they do. But this AI thing is only getting worse, this is just the beginning. The barrier of entry into editing your photos will be so low, that a professional is less and less needed. Or put it in other words, to declare yourself a "professional" takes a couple of weeks and good visual eye. You've mastered everything there's to photo editing now, and then you just use your natural visual eye (that comes largely from genes) to curate the results

Have you ever asked your mom to send you an old family photo and she does it with a flash? As a result, part of the photo is filled with white light. So, I figured out how to fix it. select the "select" tab and the "color range" tool, and in it, light colors. after that, select "generative fill" and it changes only the white or close to white pixels. because if you select the entire part of the photo filled with light at once, for example, using the "lasso", you will lose more details than with my method

Yeah, this video seems pretty silly to those of us who have been using PS since 1992. Let's see, can you make it go any faster so nobody can grasp any of your content? What is the BIG hurry and why are you doing such complicated stuff when it could be simplified to a fourth of the steps you are hurrying through? Jesus! Slow the f down. Those who know how to do these things don't even need to watch, and those who want to learn these things don't need the discouragement of your boiling over with a thousand steps in fast motion.
