Wrong!!!! It's a life insurance and financial services agency representing 30+ carriers. You get your license by the state and get appointed by these carriers to sale. And yes it also has a network marketing strategy for those that want to expand their agency and open their own office. Nothing shady nor illegal about that at all.

Actually, the total cost of start-up is closer to $400 +/-, depending state licensing costs. $400 was my cost, and I've made more than that on every single client I've had since I joined PHP a year ago. In fact, my average income per client is significantly higher than $400. PHP is nothing more than an opportunity for those willing to put in the work. And it is work, in a heavily regulated industry that requires FBI and state police criminal background checks. Show me the person who paid the $199 registration fee and didn't make any money, and I will show the person who literally didn't even try. Like I said, it's work and some people are not committed to the effort. Perhaps you are one of those people who didn't even try.

A girl I knew in college tried to recruit me and others at a party a couple weeks back. We were skeptical at first. She told us how she paid $200 upfront for her "license". Fast forward today she is no longer working with php since the only ones making money is the top of pyramid.
