i wish we had more markets like this in america, they look like a lot of fun. and i really appreciate the thai lessons, you're a great teacher. i did want to know if you had any tips for remembering tones? that's something i personally really struggle with a lot, and it's part of why i gave up trying to learn mandarin chinese. i don't want to give up on thai though!
@abmindprof2 жыл бұрын
Totally, compared to Europe or Asia there are hardly any. In NYC we do have Essex Street Market, but it's so small. Philly does a bit better with Reading Terminal Market. I used to go to one in Columbus when I lived there too.
@w462dh2 жыл бұрын
As a chinese, my suggestion would be do not think about memorising the tones for all the vocabulary you are learning. You just do it by listening more and naturally you will remember it. Just think like a kid never learn tones, but they managed to speak it naturally just becaus of immersion.

I thoughts every country have traditional markets
@skyski902 жыл бұрын
@@delishaaqeela8229 the US is such a "young country" (as it is today, not including the pretty much wiped out indigenous cultures) that we unfortunately miss out on a lot of the cool traditional or ancestral things older countries have. It's a bummer.

Yeaah I feel your pain with Chinese It used to be the dream of mine to learn this language, and I actually was trying to during 2-3 months I remember listening to words and even simple syllables trying to discern between the tones, and I was hopeless 😭 I guess only practice can help in this case, like listen A LOT Good luck with learning Thai! I’m also interested in this language, it looks incredibly beautiful, one thing that kinda puts me off - I’m not sure how will I be able to use it and like for what exact purpose

The idea like making vlog videos, but in the middle inserting some Thai vocabulary is a really good idea. I think learning Thai language like this is more interesting, not boring, and can get to know more about Thai culture... by the way, have a nice day~🥰

I appreciate P' perth being knowledgeable on other bl series like he keeps mentioning bl reference for his viewers which is mostly bl fans. because I feel like for some other actors they just act on their series and that's it and they don't really dig deep and try to understand their craft which is the bl/bl industry. So I'm really happy that P' perth know other bl aside from he's part of and he's vocal about sharing it to us.

Heyo thanks for this vlog. Haven't been to TH since covid. Was wondering how it looks like now. The market is really spacious and has much less crowd than I thought it would have. Love it that you actually showed how you use the phrases with the stallholders. Have trust issues with Google translate, I can't tell whether it is formal Thai or informal Thai and if people actually talk like that lol. Was nice to see inserts from ME :D can't wait for ME2.

This outside video was a nice surprise! I'm French and I've lived in Helsinki, Finland. I'm very surprised to see how places in your vid resemble so much HKI: the subway looks very modern and clean (nooothing compared to our old and dirty Paris subway...) and they also have that kind of open covered market. The main difference would probably be the temperature 🤣. It looks very great, this is definitely a place I'd like to visit if I come to Thailand! Thank you for taking us for a tour of daily-life Thailand, it's really appreciated! Everyone has said it already, but your enthusiasm and teaching Thai are really helpful and relaxing 🤗 (Thai language is such a warm language!). Thank you!

Your vlogs are so clean and straightforward (ha). Thank you for continuing to delve deep into BL for us. I know it's your genre for work, but do you actually watch other BL as part of research or to size up the competition or to see some friends' shows?
