Damn, I remember going to see that Dungeons & Dragons movie with the rest of the university D&D society. Immediately afterwards we watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon so on balance it was a good trip... (Pretty sure I had that same Psychedelic Furs compilation around the same time. Where do the years go?)

That robot is pretty great, & I was guessing 50's/60's right along with you by the look of it. The Droid animated series was overall better than that for Ewoks. The end credits music was pretty boss. I don't know if it'll be intact on those VHS editions, but the episodes used to be on youtube here. Dungeons & Dragons Honour Among Thieves was actually pretty decent. Struck a good balance between pleasing fans of the game and not alienating a broader audience.
