Jesus I admire his courage and strength, ive had to remain the same and I want to be a beacon of strength for others and a cautionary tale to just inform people to avoid this drug. I cannot refer to it as medication, it’s a drug, poison that all should avoid and I’m aware that not everyone experiences sides but the risk of sides is just not worth it. Once your in afflicted with pfs then that’s it. I hope people learn from Damon, Mark, myself and others alike.

Really appreciate the share, man. I’ve had PFS since 2009. Everything spoken about (except for the manner of onset) matches my symptoms and experiences. You definitely get more than your fair share of gaslighting from friends, family, and doctors. My main reprieves have been Wellbutrin XL (not an SSRI) COMBINED with TRT (without the latter, WB only gave me more anxiety, but combined they have a synergistic effect). I’m a partial positive responder to TRT, however there’s a freakishly narrow T/E range that I have to be in to get its benefits. Anything above that does more harm, and anything less adds no benefit. I’ve also done cycles of other hormones that have improved my baseline, but won’t go into that here. I think the best non-Pharma therapies are diet related (lower carbs, no gluten/dairy), and trying to re-establish reward/dopamine pathways through avoiding stress (changing jobs/commute helped me a lot) and doing something competitive/enjoyable (that part had to be forced due to a complete lack of energy and motivation). But yeah, I’ll never be 100 again. Some of that’s a good thing, like not being such a sex addict, lol.

All hormones will drop, there will be no burden for the organs to digest food and so by doing this you give the body chance to regain some balance.. Obviously you have to be in relaxed environment. Ideally daily walks in nature or on the beach and swimming in the ocean..

You can try framing it anyway you want, but you are absolutely gaslighting this man. This is not the first documented case of people suffering damage from a minimal exposure to a 5ARI. That’s why there are cases of people suffering from this from short term use of other substances like saw palmetto (a much weaker 5ARI) as well. The human body is very complex and there are millions of genetic variations across the human genome, so it really shouldn’t come as a shock to so many that certain subsets of people can have genetic predispositions to various substances that can cause damage. As one rough example, for some people with a predisposition to a peanut allergy, even just a small exposure to peanuts can cause anaphylaxis and kill them, so I’m not sure why it’s impossible to comprehend that there are other substances that can cause damage to certain people, even with minimal exposure. Many diseases like Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, and Rheumatoid Arthritis were considered psychosomatic issues at one time until they were discovered to have physical biomarkers in the 20th century. With more time and research, this will likely yield a similar outcome. The issue, of course, is that because of it’s rarity and the drug’s high success rate for many, there hasn’t been much incentive for experts to research this, especially when considering the revenue the drug brings in. However, because it’s becoming so mainstream, this issue is only going to continue to expand rapidly.
